This is our 2016 Nissan rogue SV with the third row being used. I also sit in the back to show leg room and talk a bit about our car seat set up and why we chose the ones we did. pardon me being out of breath I am pregnant with #3 and I get a bit winded :-p

Carseats in our car:
Second row: clek foonf, Diano RXT and a Safety first
Third row: backless cosco booster

Disclaimer: According to Snugkids 3 a crossed carseats is not a safe option in the Nissan roge. So, I did this upon my own personal judgment I am not responsible if you choose to do the same thing and there is a poor outcome.

In the video we have a 15 month old (rear facing) , 3 year old (rear facing), 4 year old (forward facing) and 8 year old booster seat in the car.

Lol it's okay 😂 I need to make an update video. Two of the kids in the video weren't mine so we didn't need to get a new car but we ended up getting a pathfinder which broke many times with about $7,000 worth of repairs thankfully the warrenty covered. When the warrenty was about up we decided to get a electric/hybrid crystler Pacifica. So far so good we are very much enjoying it and the MPG 😁🤑

Hey - has the kid in the 3rd row ever gotten or felt car sick back there?

Anna Kincaid In reply to MrDnfg

+MrDnfg Should be okay although there are no carseat anchors for the 3rd Row, worked great for the 8 year old I had in the car since she was in a booster but I wouldn't recommend a carseat back there due to no anchors. Also, we only got about 23ish MPG average with the rouge and about 19MPG with our now pathfinder so if MPG is important to you that is something to keep in mind. we are now looking into electric vehicles since our pathfinder is so hungry ;-)

Thank you for your response. We are expecting 3rd child. wondering how it will work with our oldest (5) and middle (3) and newborn in a rogue with back row.

Anna Kincaid In reply to MrDnfg

She has not but I was just babysitting. We now have a pathfinder and our oldest (age5) sits in the 3rd row. She does not get sick and with it being a larger car then the rouge you get tossed around a lot more.

Online it says you can't fit 3 car seats in the second row. So I guess it's possible. Thanks for posting.

    • Anna Kincaid
Anna Kincaid In reply to srcstc

That is because if you use the lab belt with the middle and driver side (in the second row) the belts over lap which is not safe. If you use LATCH on the driver's side and the belt in the middle the belts do not over lap. So I decided it was safe to do 3 a crossed. but as a disclaimer I have to say according to Nissan you should not put 3 car seats a crossed. Do this at your own risk.

Lets just say we now have a pathfinder lol! it was fun to drive minus the GIANT blind spot which is one of the reasons we now have a pathfinder. The other reason was the fact that we were expecting #3 and it got much poorer MGP then it was stated to get (about 25MPG HWy and 22 City). we owned it for about 6ish months. I can't say I honestly really recommend a pathfinder either since the first 18 months of ownership we ended up having to get about $7,000 worth of major repaired on it (2015 bought in 2016, transmission problems) thankfully we got the super warranty and all that stuff was covered. we also just had another major part get replaced this last February (2018). Go get yourself a subaru lol! Our Subie is the best vehicle we have ever owned!

Hello, I guess I am seeing this video a long time after it was published but I was curious as I am looking into a Rogue myself...on the the second row moving back and forth, does the seats move independent from each other...like if you have a child in the 3 row right side can you move the 2nd row right side forward without moving the 2nd row left side forward?? Thanks and great video!!

    • Anna Kincaid
Anna Kincaid In reply to cardenasmb

cardenasmb it is a 60 , 40 split. Each side slides independently. I hope that answers your question. Our pathfinder is the same way.

Hi did you have trouble with a travel system stroller? I'm thinking about getting a rouge we have two pre teens and infant on the way. i love the way the rouge rides, but i really want a third row. How do you like yours?

Anna Kincaid In reply to Mrs. O'Neal

Mrs. O'Neal I don't use a stroller unless I am out for a jog with my kiddos. I wear my babies but, a single stroller would probably fit if you only had one seat up in the back. The rouge was too hard for us to see out of and we traded it in for a pathfinder, which has broken 3 times in the last year so of it breaks again we may be trading it in for yet another vehicle.

+Mitul Jariwala The low end torque is enough even on uphill with 7 passengers, around 160 lb each.

      Test drive it.

I replace my vehicle every 1 or 1-1/2 year.

If you go crazy and willing to spend much more, I would get a 4 Runner (much capable than Grand Cherokee) or bigger Armada (almost like the infiniti).

Per Nissan's Snugkids information page (on Nissan USA's website), you actually are not suppose to have a CRS in the center seat of the middle row (where your pink carseat is).

yes this is due to over lapping belts BUT if you are using the latch behind the driver's side and the seat belt in the middle they do not over lap.

Thanks for an informative video. I know Rogue with 3rd row does not come with a spare wheel but it still has empty space under 3rd row. Can you please make a video and life the 3rd row from the back (lifting 3rd row from back after folding it) and show us if there is enough space for a spare?

This was so helpful! But one thing I'm very very curious about is that is there any room for a stroller at all when both 3rd row seats are lifted? I'm pretty sure no double stroller or regular size single stroller can fit in there, but how about an umbrella stroller or a lightweight one?

Anna Kincaid In reply to Yu-Jin Chia

Sadly I can't check this for you since we upsized to a pathfinder (Husband really wanted a bigger car) I would say definitely no go on a double stroller with third row up. you can always take a stroller to a dealership to see if it would fit.
