      '19 coupe owner here.

      - Cooler colors (green in '18/yellow in '19) are only for the coupe. It's a great way to separate yourself from base models and type R's.

      - Rear fake vents look unforgivable on the sedan, but OK on the coupe. Front fake vents can be addressed with mods down the line.
      - Back ends of both cars are too large. I wish the bumper was closer to the rear wheels on the side and there was overall less material.
      - The lifted wing on the coupe balances the looks of the car, as nonfunctional as it is.
      - The vacuum cleaner exhausts are funny; I personally plan on getting the MAP quad exhaust, which is hilarious in its own right.
      - The chrome finish on the sides of the vehicle stick out and don't match the rest of the car's matte black plastic theme. Fixable.
      - Adaptive dampening and limited slip are legitimate reasons to purchase this car at its price point.
      - FWD is eh, but it's an inexpensive car, and handles super, super well. Also pretty lightweight compared to AWD, like the Subaru.
      - You're exaggerating about how uncomfortable the door's side panels are. The cloth is honestly fine. Leather isn't a theme in this car.
      - I like the fake carbon fiber, too.
      - VOLUME KNOB/PHYSICAL BUTTONS REPRESENT! Also, large cup holders and holder clasps. My friend is jealous, he has a '17 sedan.
      - Android Auto is good in theory, but constantly fucks up.
      - The center console in its entirety is great! Really user intuitive, love how much space there is and how adjustable it is.
      - The seats are wonderful; no leather needed. They hold you in, but no adjustable lumbar leads to a painful lower back IMO.
      - Acuity sells aftermarket pedals to make it easier to heel toe.
      - Steering wheel buttons are cheap, oh well. Take the money from the unneeded external cameras and put it towards the wheel buttons.
      - I have no idea why the coupe doesn't include the fake red stitching in the rear seats, the back in the coupe is an afterthought.

Overall, coupe > sedan for it's looks. Not to brag too heavily (it's a Civic, lol), but I get compliments on the Tonic Yellow Pearl almost every day. Tinted windows + black wheels make a massive difference, they match and improve the gross plastic pieces! I would suggest going with a weighted shift knob, as the one Honda provides is too light and heats up a lot in the sun.

A tune and some modifications will wake up this inexpensive, lightweight, turbo daily. A clutch replacement might be necessary to hold that extra power, as the stock clutch is suuuuper light. It's awesome for daily traffic, but would slip with any significant changes to boost.

Overall, great video! It was fun to follow along and see you observe a lot of the same things my friends and I do with our Si's.

Was choosing to buy my first car ... it’s either the Honda Civic sedan or coupe , this video help me a lot . I made the decision that if I were to choose a normal standard car, I would have went with the sedan but if I were to choose based on SI , obviously I’d go with the coupe . In the end , I went with the si coupe black

The only version of this Si worth buying is the coupe. The rear bumper is so hideous on the sedan. I'm also not a fan of the mirror cam. It's not needed, imo. I would trade off that camera for more padding inside. I have owned both generations of the Si before this version and I'm hesitant to buy this one due to the problems Honda is having with oil dilution. If they can figure it out, I'm sold on the coupe. Honestly, what other car that's going to come with that much power AND active suspension damping for $25k??? The car is a bargain. The car is fun and quick. It's not fast. If you want blaring speed, spend another $15k and get a GT Mustang. Other than the oil dilution issues, I can't find any other faults. Great mileage, quick engine and one of the best manual transmissions on the market on any brand. Curious what the mid cycle refresh will look like. Hopefully they focus on that sedan bumper.

+Gordon Hollis it's a real issue with all turbo direct injection engines. The problem is gasoline getting down into the oil crankcase, especially when it's really cold outside and/or you make short trips and don't give the car time to warm up properly. If you want your engine to last, do NOT rely on the maintenance minder to tell you when you should change your oil. Change it at the 5,000 to 7,000 mile interval. No longer. Use high quality full synthetic oil. And when you start the car, do NOT let it sit and idle to warm up. Crank it and drive it. That's the fastest way to get the engine up to running temperature. Idling a cold engine causes the gasoline blowby worse than anything else. And check your oil at every fill up. If you notice your oil level climbing higher on the dipstick at each fill up and you haven't added any oil, that means it's getting diluted. Change the oil asap if that happens. Follow that and you'll be fine. I have to do this with our 2017 Escape with the 2.0 Ecoboost. 57,000 miles in and she runs great. Stay on top of it and it'll last you years and years.

Woah, oil dilution problems what does that involve? '19 Civic Coupe owner here. This video made me realize how much better looking the coupe is compared to my friend's sedan. I completely agree, I hope they fix the sedan's fake vents because they're not too bad on the coupe, especially in back. If they change the front for 2020 I'mma be SO ANNOYED that I didn't just wait, but I love my Tonic Yellow Pearl. ;-)

Just bought a nice red civic Si from ‘07 and learned manual on it. Very fun, if you don’t drive a manual, get at least one in your lifetime, even if you go back to auto or CVT after. It’s so worth dealing with traffic

Wall Fork what do you mean by "worth dealing with traffic" I'm in SoCal so in traffic you're only shifting between 1st and 2nd, hopefully hitting 15-20mph, and moving more than 2 car lengths at a time. Not much fun. Maybe time for bike. Peace out
