So if I can register it and drive it to the track I can race it? Any other specifications I need to know about? Otherwise the World's fastest VE ute will be coming to Drag Challenge real soon.

BG Engines and they have a broken rocker arm, if the material is aerospace alloys like say 6061T6or better Titanum they would not break, especially if CNC'D from a billet, used on aircraft they do not break, but then again all it takes is a bad batch of alloys from the supplier and you cant do anything about it, unless you have an x ray machine like the aircraft manufacturers use to test and sing off on every single part that make before it goes on an aircraft. :)

Bullshit. They fail because they are at the absolute limit in metallurgy. Some leading u.s race teams and enging builders have actually contracted nasa materials r&d department because the currently available metals/alloys are limiting design and process. Fact.

No worries, but how many times do the metals fail and hi revving engines are designed to fail otherwise they would not be pulling them apart ie: drag engines with more than 5K HP everything they use is made to last but fail due to the extremes of the metals and also like you said they fail due to inconsistencies of the metal and whop makes the parts. cheers :)

Depends on who the suppliers are, if you have a great aerospace metals supplier and then the right CNC machines with the right coolant used to machine the items then you should not have the problems at all, just from experience selling aerospace metals,. :) Best thing to look at the ASTM materials data sheets for the alloys and pick out the best alloys based on the tolerances of the metal and then get your parts made up from that and of course have a great engineering company with great clean CNC machines which can make up anything you require. cheers :)

Yep at least 150K unless you build it yourself and have a shit load of contacts and friends with in the industry. From Scratch your looking a base car to start with and then just the running gear is at least 100K + cars worth if old, then at least 20K + spares $20K + insurance etc etc. so if you have the CASH then do it, love too, but dont have the CASH ?

True, he is building cars most of us could only dream of. Funny that the shed built car of Quinten's gave it a beat down tho... Not the first time either. Well done Quinten

It was supposed to be sarcastic, it looked like first and second were genuine battlers whereas Mr Rogash flies by the howard astill cheque book theory. Not to take away from the bloke, he does seem to have genuine talent but that car clearly had cubic thousands thrown at it along with favours to many other blokes in that industry to get it where it is.

What do you mean? He got bitch slapped by a shed built car. Quinten is the most normal bloke your ever going to meet, really down to Earth and friendly.
