Mahindra XUV300 has launched recently in the Indian market with many segment-first features. It is offered with two engine choices – 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. Mahindra wants to take a step ahead in the Tier 1 cities with XUV300. Ford, on the other hand, has built a solid fan base in the sub-4 metre compact SUV segment with EcoSport. This one is available with a two petrol engine choices - 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5 litre and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. This is just a hand full of details and let our Ed. Ford Ecosport vs Mahindra XUV300 Looks
Ford Ecosport is a benchmark of refinement and sheer driving pleasure. In terms of looks, Ford Ecosport Titanium plus is the best variant which has projector headlamps, sunroof, 17-inch Alloy wheels, and body-coloured fog lamps housing. Mahindra XUV300 is designed with cues taken from bigger XUV500. It looks aggressive and stable. It has projector headlamps and LED tail lamps. It has a bigger wheelbase than Ecosport but same size Alloy wheels.

Both these cars are equally equipped and have similar quality interiors. Both of them have leather upholstery, multifunction steering wheel, Smart infotainment system, well-cushioned seats and good overall visibility. However, XUV300 has dual zone climate control which is a segment first but lacks in boot space.

Ford Ecosport vs Mahindra XUV300 Engine Specification

Ecosport and XUV300 both have a 1.5-litre diesel engine which produces an adequate amount of power. On the petrol front, Ecosport has a 1.5-litre and turbocharged 1-litre engine options which produce 123 and 125 PS of power respectively. Diesel buyers can go with either of the two, however petrol buyer should rely upon Ford Ecosport.

Ford Ecosport vs Mahindra XUV300 Safety

With 7 airbags, Mahindra XUV300 is a step ahead from Ford Ecosport which has 6 Airbags. Although, they both have standard safety features of dual Airbags, ABS with EBD, seat belt reminder and rear parking sensors right from the base variant.

      I have Ecosport with 50,000+ kms on Odo. I just wanna say that it has not the peppiest or the grt pickup engine, never moves at gear 2 from stand still also the start from 1st gear is also stressful while moving in traffic compared to Japanese or European rivals, poor brake components. Here Mahindra XUV300 felt more peppier and comfortable, infact it was the most accommodating cabin.
      Also the seats of Ecopsort are painful to body on long tours. I personally had some orthopaedic problems with the seats. I would definitely switch on to other make car.

      I agree. He's right. The car is good but some features are gimmicks on W8(o).
      W8 is the most VFM variant. Save ur 1L rupees and get some great component speakers ;)
      Unbiased review.
      The car is doing good numbers.

      Both Ecosport and XUV300 are amazing products.
      It comes down to your priorities and requirements.
      Brezza and Nexon also great options.

      Best mileage, low maintenance, good space, a bit outdated but safe buy: Brezza

      Stylish, best speakers, stupendous ride quality and stability, good rear seat, safety, highest Ground clearance: Nexon (at great price)

      Most powerful diesel, good ride quality, loads of features, fancy, young and funky, good space (minus the boot), wider 2nd row: XUV300

      For the love of enthusiastic driving, mature yet fine looking, descent space for all 04 occupants, good enough boot, trusted diesel, suv style rear mounted spare wheel, solid build quality, best infotainment and the car which gave birth to this segment: Ford Ecosport.

      Ideally we should compare ecospport signature with XUV 300 W8. Ecosport titanium is loaded with more features and price is below 10L where as XUV W6 doesn't have even have basic features like alloys, fog lamps..etc
      If people budget is below 10 lakhs, go for ecosport titanium model.

      Most often you have said that ford EcoSport gearbox is rubberry and in this video is don't seem to stop praising EcoSport. most of your comparos always kept Brezza above it, what's the reason for change....it's not the gearbox if EcoSport s edition....time to rethink the details of this post?
