The original #Honda #Passport ran from 1994-2002 and it was nothing more than just a rebadged Isuzu Rodeo. Looking to fill an empty space in their US lineup, Honda saw an opportunity to revive the Passport name only this time, they took the well received Pilot/Odyssey/Ridgeline platform and shorted the rear overhang by over 6 inches. Also increasing the ride height by nearly an inch, Honda is claiming the new Passport isn't the old one you remembered, but it also begs the question, is this new version more than just a shortened Pilot? #HondaPassport

Most people won’t mistake it by the back for an explorer. Most explorers will be parked on the side of the road broke down, while this will be driving still. Lol jk .

If Honda wants to get women interested in this vehicle, they need to stop pushing this one as an off-road vehicle. I hate the black front end and would prefer a more elegant interior and a more unique styled exterior. I like the size of the vehicle and the absence of the third seat though. I don’t need the third row at all. Also would like more interior color options besides black or gray. Not my preference! Otherwise I like the size and interior room. Just please have Honda tweek this vehicle for women’s interest especially for the price.

He's wrong about the VTM-4... Mechanically it's almost the same as SH-AWD but the programming is slightly different between the two

Seriously, asking for skid plates on a vehicle that will probably never see that environment. Please this isn't a true off road vehicle IMO it's more of a North east vehicle where there are a lot of different weather conditions. Can you guys please stop requesting unrealistic options.

Elite also has a heated steering wheel. Getting my new copper black elite in two days. Traded in my 2015 srt jeep which I know I will regret but I needed a more year round and better commuter for a recent move. Last Honda product I had was an 08 MDX which had a similar driving experience to this on my brief test ride in the passport. What's amazing is my Jeep is way smaller inside yet is 5200 pounds. Thousand pounds heavier! 475hp obviously made up for that. For a 4.5 year old sport SUV with 65000 miles of smiles I got 34000$ on trade. Picked up my new passport for dealer cost 40,700$.

This is a lazy attempt by honda to capitilize on the current suv market, the majority of efforts where put into marketing this as an off road/activity oriented vehicle and the youtubers and reviewers just ate it up. Im willing to bet the only thing that has a new part number over the pilot are the coil springs. The result is the ability to charge more money then the pilot , this is a soulless ,copy paste blob meant to increase profit margins over the other vehicles on the same platform.

I had an Isuzu Rodeo and loved it so I purchased a Honda Passport for my daughter years ago. She had it for 10 years and finally sold it to a neighbor's kid for a dollar. It is still on the road and cherished. Glad they are bringing it back.

Regarding the V6 honda engine. One of my friends owns a 2015 Pilot with 247,000 miles. No engine problems. He has changed the timing belt as recommended. Rides as smooth as silk.

I do like the passport however I’m look for something with this type of a body but I want to be a hybrid if only the CR-V had a hybrid version I would be all over it but since it doesn’t I might have to get a rav4 hybrid 😔😔😒😒😒

Why are all the 2019 Honda's are design copies of the CR-V ? Even the HR-V. Getting boring.

I have a 2012 Ford escape. I love the box look of it. This Honda reminds me of a solid box look suv. Some of the new SUVs are idk smaller more aerodynamic looking. Gonna have to test drive this. Thanks for making this video.
