The original #Honda #Passport ran from 1994-2002 and it was nothing more than just a rebadged Isuzu Rodeo. Looking to fill an empty space in their US lineup, Honda saw an opportunity to revive the Passport name only this time, they took the well received Pilot/Odyssey/Ridgeline platform and shorted the rear overhang by over 6 inches. Also increasing the ride height by nearly an inch, Honda is claiming the new Passport isn't the old one you remembered, but it also begs the question, is this new version more than just a shortened Pilot? #HondaPassport

if the downshift is not quick enough, use the paddle shifters and double downshift. the change is near instant. and there is software to avoid engine damage if the double click downshift might be harmful. so click away.

For the love of god can they put a nice big center armrest already. It’s 2019 why can’t Honda at least offer that as an option. Those little skinny armrests are so annoying.

20 inch wheels on a small Honda SUV?? Holy crap wheel sizes are getting way out of control on vehicles nowadays. It would suck to take those wheels off-road, no cushion from the rocks and sand and don't even get me started on the harsh on-road ride of the moon surface that is most Midwestern cities nowadays. 2002 Ford Explorer XLT 4X4 had 15 inch wheels. In a few years, the Kia Rio will come standard with 22 inch wheels.

I was thinking Explorer in the rear too. They copied Xterra with the storage and fold down seats.

The last half of the video in the trails, it literally looked like Ford Explorers. The price of them are in the 19 Explorer range since they sent me stuff to pull my lease ahead. They are too new for any real discounts and they are holding them hostage at MSRP.

I’m not a fan of the ZF 9 speed trans ,, it has a lot of problems in the past on other Honda models . The Honda built 10Sp however is much better , avail on the Odyssey Elite trim.

Also, , I’d never take this thing off roading , I’d get a 4Runner for that

Most people won’t mistake it by the back for an explorer. Most explorers will be parked on the side of the road broke down, while this will be driving still. Lol jk .

If Honda wants to get women interested in this vehicle, they need to stop pushing this one as an off-road vehicle. I hate the black front end and would prefer a more elegant interior and a more unique styled exterior. I like the size of the vehicle and the absence of the third seat though. I don’t need the third row at all. Also would like more interior color options besides black or gray. Not my preference! Otherwise I like the size and interior room. Just please have Honda tweek this vehicle for women’s interest especially for the price.

He's wrong about the VTM-4... Mechanically it's almost the same as SH-AWD but the programming is slightly different between the two
