The BMW X3 is all-new for the 2018 model year. This marks the 3rd generation for this popular model which paved the way for luxury crossovers when it debuted back in 2004.
Compact Luxury Crossover buyers have an abundance of confident and well-trimmed vehicles to choose from for 2018. The BMW X3 xDrive30i will appeal to those most focused on all-around performance. Bright spots are its excellent road manners and well-appointed interior along with all the technology you would expect in a modern luxury SUV.

Prices range from $42,650 for the xDrive30i model seen here up to $54,500 for the top-of-the-line M40i. Under the hood is a 2.0 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 240 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a quick shifting 6-speed automatic transmission. The AWD X3 is responsive and quick off the line sprinting from 0-60 MPH in 6 seconds flat. Fuel economy is rated at 22 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway.

The cabin of the 2018 BMW X3 is blissfully quiet and beautifully appointed. Materials are top-notch as is fit and finish. The stereo system is a 16 speaker Harmon Kardon set-up. From its automatic hands-free tail gate to its easy fold-down rear seats, the X3 makes hauling gear a snap. There is ample room with 28.7 cubic feet cargo behind the 2nd row and a total of 62.7 cubic feet with the seats folded down.

Acura and Lexus led sales due to reliability and resale value. Something BMW cannot claim
