      the most important is that the 2.7L is a 2 doors truck whereas the 3.5L and the 5.0 are four doors trucks.. weight difference guys

      Turbo lag is just as prevalent in these Eco-boost as it's ever been. My 2.7 is an absolute animal...pins me in my seat like nothing else I drive but I'm not at Indy. Going up hill and dale with that god forsaken 10 sp is possibly the worse engine combo of all time... major disappointment and that's coming from a 20+ yr Ford drive...trying to get out of my lease early

      Shouldn't the video title be turbo small displacement vs natural aspirated large displacement. Put a turbo on that V8 and run them side by side. Make them all 2 door cause yes 150 pounds in a race car is a lot.

      I'm guessing the quarter would be tuned 5.0 - 14.0 sec. Tuned 2.7 - 13.4 sec. Tuned 3.5 - 12.7 sec. Give or take a couple of tenths.

      Predictable outcome. But I have to say the gains made on the 5.0 with just a tune were very impressive. I expected the big gains out of the EcoBoost engines.

      Yes the V8 can compete and it wins! The question is not about performance. You can get performance from a small turbocharged engine, no arguing about that. The point for a truck is RELIABILITY. Trucks might demand full power for a long distance, when towing uphill for example. The comparison must be about reliability, not drag races. Unless, the idea is to use the truck for drag racing.
