Celebrating the return after my hiatus by going back to my roots with a "Full Tour" video. Found this Cherokee and had to seize the opportunity to film it despite the hold it put on our GLK search. This Cherokee was loadeddd with heated/vented seats, heated steering wheel, driver assistance tech, etc... that is if you can swallow the sticker price. What are your thoughts?

I bought 2019 and at 5000 miles it sits at the dealer with manufacturer's best engineers trying to fix it. Day 15 at time of post. Beware of the bells and whistles and transmission

I would trust this Cherokee KL over previous years as this is a mid cycle refresh not a redesign so they are fixing what was wrong with previous years like the gross front end, the rear and the transmission timing issues and a few other odds and ends. Thanks for the walk around.

I had a Cherokee Trailhawk 2016. The 4x4 system very powerful but it stops there for the compliments. Vehicle annoying to drive a feeling of heaviness. No room in the trunk and transmission wondering what to do. So really boring vehicle at this price. Competition has better to offer. I managed to get rid of it. This "Jeep" is only a Dodge with a good 4WD system.

I couldn’t justify paying that much for the Cherokee. I’d have to go up to the Grand Cherokee or another brand entirely.

I still think this iteration of the Cherokee looks butt ugly. But, the white gives it a more bold Suv look and the front-end tweak helps it a little. If I was going to get a Cherokee it would be the 80’s & 90’s Version not this mess! haha. I think I might test drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee after watching this! 👍🏼😁

Just noisey lifters. Annoying, but not an uncommon or detrimental issue.

2010 Acura or which one? maybe any Acura can drive to real off-road trail? not even in a deep snow or mud. This is Jeep and it is built to be able to tackle off-road, it's got an rear differential lock and best in the world 4WD system. This Trail Hawk is unique in it's class, nobody in the world offers anything similar.

My parents and I looked at one of these in 2016. By then, the transmission issues were sorted out I'm pretty sure. It was nice, but option packages were weird and there was no rear headroom with the panoramic roof. However, my mom loves her CR-V now.

    • Chris Anderson
Chris Anderson In reply to Chris Anderson

The EX had the exact equipment my mom wanted: cloth seats, smart key and push button start, sunroof, heated seats, and a backup camera. To get the panoramic roof and push button start on the Latitude, you had to go to the V6, which had this stop-start feature my mom was afraid of. The 75th Anniversary (this was 2016) model was the perfect configuration, but it came in only a few colors.

I like the update. Although $42k is a large pill to swallow for a Jeep Cherokee. That's Lexus NX money.

    • ldq23
ldq23 In reply to Joshua R

Buy the NX and you’re just paying for the name. Buy that Trailhawk and actually get something worth the money. Resale price is based on people ditching the brand for foreign. One day buyers will understand how to actually back our American made brands and they will hold the value.
