Exotic cars aren't your moms Malibu, you can't just walk in and test drive one. Today I stop by Wide World of Cars in Spring Valley NY and talk though how to be treated they way you want to be treated when potentially shopping for an exotic car.

I was about to buy a new F150 but I canceled when i saw it had 304 miles. They tried to discount it but I wanted my first new car to have less than 10 miles.

How about ... don't waste the dealer's time if you have no intention of buying a car. Problem solved!

What is the point of test driving a car "down a block"? You need to spend at least 3-4 days with the car to really realize what you do/don't like about it, and even then it might not be enough. I just leased my first car a month ago and after a few days realized I don't like it, but now I'm realizing certain features of it that I absolutely love (the position of the gear shift, the roof mounting brackets etc) that I would have never understood just from a test ride down the block. I think if you're serious about buying a car you have to spend a couple of thousand just renting various cars and not just relying on dealer test drive offers, so when you come into the dealrship, you point your finger and say "that one".

Exotic Car Dealerships are part-retail, part Tourist Attraction.  I've been to many, you'd be amazed how many people visit who CLEARLY are not there to purchase a car - they just want to see something that costs more than their house.  Salesmen have to determine who is a tourist, who might try to steal a 'souvenir' from the cars, and who might-actually be in-the-market.  REAL Exotic customers actually call-ahead and MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, then honor it.  If they know who you are, and what you're in the market for, you get the Red Carpet treatment.

Weird FUCKing video. You're doing a video how to test drive a Ferrari....but your talking about how to be sneaky about it and then you're saying "don't go try to test drive one if youre not serious." This video does not make any sense AT ALL!

also a smart salesperson is gonna run your credit the moment they get a hold of your drivers license before test drive, if your credit don't check out, they're gonna tell you go fish or they don't have the keys

simple if you bought a supercar from the dealer they will now your the real deal and if you're new to this just go out and rent a supercar of your choice and find out which one floats your boats and just go out and buy one screw the test drive and just ask for a good deal on the car you will easily make back the rental difference instead of the test drive on your deal if you show them your not there to joy ride there car but there to make a deal that will take it more seriously

At least you can find a Ferrari to buy. You can currently walk into most US Rolex dealers wanting to buy a stainless steel Submariner or a GMT Master II and they won't have any available.
