( www.TFLcar.com ) What's the fastest car from 0-60 MPH at 1 mile above sea level? That's pretty straightforward question and one that we are prepared to answer. In the first half of 2012 we've tested a lot of fast cars from 0-60 MPH at altitude. As you may know less air also means less power so our 0-60 MPH times are different from those at sea level. Also turbocharges and supercharges help to make up for the power loss. So what Top 5 Fastest 0-60 MPH Cars @1 Mile Above Sea level in 2012? Watch this video to find out.

Its crazy how some people are like what does above sea level mean?
At least use google to educate yourselves before posting a comment when it is also clearly stated in the title...
Cusco in Peru, anyone? La Paz, Bolivia?
Oh, im sure some will be.. where is Peru? In Africa?

Forced induction engines whether they’re turbocharged or supercharged, don’t see the horsepower losses that a naturally aspirated engine does due to gains in altitude. So a car that’s turbocharged or supercharged should get close to factory numbers for acceleration.

hehe 140K Audi 10cyl in 4.9 secs, that was $$$,$$$ NOT well spent!!

my 2006 Jeep SRT8 Grand Cherokee does it in 4.4 and that's with a CAI mod and nothing else...gee, wonder what'll happen with a cat back exhaust and a race-tune....

While I appreciate the mile high tests, I don't know too many times in the real world where I'm doing performance tests or 0-60 runs with more than just myself in the car. I tend to drive more conservatively with passengers and I do sporting driving while I'm alone, which makes driver only tests more relevant to me. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Hope you guys are reading this in 2016.

You guys are the biggest morons for not using the industry STANDARD
Racelogic Performance box (Vbox) with the 1 foot rollout option
activated in your acceleration tests. ALL these years you guys have been
      doing it all wrong.

Do you read Car and Driver? How about Motortrend or ANY US auto publication of any sort? Every single of of them quote 0-60 times with a 1 foot roll out. You sir are oblivious. As are the TFL car guys.

May I also point out that they are doing real world testing? People want to know how fast a car can get up to speed. The method they use gives you a good idea. And they aren't doing it wrong. This is a way to do 0-60's. If it was wrong do you think the device they use would have been made?

+Sebastian Filpo the new gt-r did this at at 5 seconds on one run and i think just below 4 with launch control on in their other video. don't forget they are at high altitude so it won't be as fast... it is somewhere between 2.8 and 3.2 seconds for the gt-r in normal altitude
