I'm wondering if carbon build up is still an issue. Also does it have a keyhole ignition in case push start fails?

+chad haire i don't understand. The 2018 mazda 6 has a push to start button to start the car. I've seen some manufacturers have a hidden keyhole in case the push start system stops working.

Test drove this car like the turbo but I didn't find much more space upfront compared to mazda 3 and didn't have arm rest like smaller 3 .

Just ran down to Carson City from Reno in NV to fill up with gas and as I approached my exit to home saw 40mpg on my 2017 Optima SXL 2.0 turbo....about 30 miles that reset when I gassed up...up and over a bit of terrain...luckily no headwinds today!

Chevy Spark?! I got one as a rental and immediately demanded a bigger car. Just sitting in the car I felt like every time I wanted to check the speed I had to look down on my crotch.

Nice car. Excellent improvement from the 14' launch of this iteration. I hope they plan to make a new 6.. A bit larger and AWD with the turbo would be great.

+JakeDrives Too big and heavy already...AWD would just make it heavier and bigger would be a mistake as far as sportiness/handling is concerned.

+buildmorefarms100 No, it's not. I've spent hours in a mazda 6 with four adults on a road trip.. a few inches in every direction would do wonders for interior feel of the car.. nobody buys this and treats it as a Miata, the CX-9 is still sharp enough to thrill it's buyers.. It would be JUST fine.

Thank you for review ! Mazda 6 is the only fun Japanese mid size sedan and indeed a poor mans BMW 🙂 Props to Mazda for staying proper automatic and not this CVT junk like in Camry and Accords which makes them automatic no buy for any car enthusiast person. Please test the Mazda 3 if you can

+kidyuyo Accord only has automatic on upper 2.0T expensive trims that cost +50% and more of normal Accord. For that money you can almost buy a BMW lol With Toyota you right, mistakened with Corolla, anyway same thing there, why get a crappy boring CVT Corolla when you can buy a proper fun to drive Mazda 3 ? Mazda - for drivers, Toyota and Honda - appliance.
