That's hilarious. In Kentucky I took a drivers license test again. Got my learner's permit. I can go on the road immediately as long as I wear a helmet and have no passenger.

lol i had a guy drop the bike during a braking exercise. it was just accelerate in a straight line and apply heavy brake. dude dumped it, must have locked something up, and went sliding across the parking lot. it was also slightly raining. so, i guess i don't blame him. he was older

FYI- there is likely to be at least one hard-ass dickhead in your MSF course. I barely passed because of that type of guy. That's probably the reason he is the head instructor.

He was on my ASS for whatever reason, and even gave a comment that I "barely" passed when I did indeed pass. He immediately said "just because you got a doctor's license doesn't mean you're a good doctor," as if I didn't fucking know that concept already. Don't get down on yourself if you happen to be around those kinds of people. I sure did, and my performance suffered because of it.

You're a noob, trying to learn. Therefore, you're gonna learn the way you're gonna learn. A quick 16-hour course is NEVER going to give you everything you need to know, because a huge influx of information digested over 2 days is not going to stick for very long. Just stay confident and practice on your own when you're done with the course and have your own bike and license. You will be a good rider, eventually. You'll eventually get the feel of your bike and you'll understand what to/not to do. I was decent at most things, but my shifting coordination was and still is pretty rough. That is the first thing to work on, for me. For others, it may be countersteering or brake control. Know your weaknesses and hone in on them until they're no longer weaknesses. You'll get it, guys. Good luck.

      Serious question, please help.
Just got job at HD, have to g ive 1 demo ride per day. They ride a bike and i follow the heres the ?
I had a surgery 10 yrs ago. It affected 10 percent of my balance. I rode a dirtbike today on pavement, never stalled or anything like that. Noticed on take off it was a little wobbly. My u turns were good and best of all i didnt dump it. I have to take the msf and dont think thell let me use a trike. Will this wobble on slow take off screw me? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Also noticed at speeds of 5 mph- 10 also was a little wobbly. Help please guys, i need this job to su]ort family

+john foster That much time off will definitely make you feel like a new rider. On top of that, the surgery and learning to walk again can play head games with you and make you feel less confident. Knowing all that, I wouldn't worry too much right now. I would just go out and enjoy every chance you get to get on that bike. I don't know. Hopefully they can work with you on the trike part. No problem man. We all need help sometime. Just glad you asked for it. Ozzy eh? Glad you're better lol

+john foster I can't speak for the surgery, but I wouldn't worry about the wobble right now. You didn't dump it so you're off to a good start lol. Those slow speeds can be a little wobbly until you get your motorcycle legs back under you. Also, I'm not sure if you like to take a few steps when the bike is just starting or if you like to immediately put your feet on the pegs. Either way, I'm sure you'll get rid of that wobble with some more time on the bike. If it continues to happen months down the road though, maybe you're surgery has a bigger impact than we know. In that case, hopefully you can find some tricks to work around.

+SuperBartholemew i guess after the surgery and learning to walk again with lack of seat time then i guess i would be a new rider. Not sure if its lack of confidence or lack of seat time. I found a class for certification on trikes, wondering if harley would accept that. Man I appreciate your response. So much we take for granted, took a year to learn to walk. I walked like ozzy for a long time :)

0:28 had a guy just like that in my course. Problem was he was still doing it on the final day minimum 3 times in a row every time. Still passed though because stalling doesnt fail you lol. But the jerk and the head shaking. Burned into my brain

The MSF course I’m taking does give you a bike, I believe most do, they’re generally used and just used specifically for beginners in the MSF course.
