people do at least 10 over posted usually on freeway/interstate. You have to do that without bogging or revving too high across a lot of grade variations. Ninja 250R is also liquid cooled...

blakeibibler I also have a question about that bike. It it a 125cc bike? I live in California and at 17 I think you can only ride a 125cc bike.

Ya it took me a while to get my mom on board but I just explained how a 300cc bike or smaller are beginners bikes and they arnt anything that can’t really get you hurt and they are more forgiving and how they are also cheaper and better on gas and everything

@Cyka I actually have pretty cheap insurance I pay around 20 dollars a month for full coverage, I use Erie Insurance company which is a local insurance company near me but I’d just check around and compare pricing it’s pretty dang cheap for a ninja 300 in my opinion

      Is 1200 a good price for a 2013 250 , with 300miles??

Yea really good price - unless they trashed the bike within 300 miles. Did you end up getting it? I've been shopping Craigslist for over a month trying to find a decent 250. I replied to a mint condition 2005 model, literally minutes after it was posted - somehow someone beat me to it. Everything else for sale is either worn or someone dropped it. Really frustrating!

thinkin about getting a bike. should i just get the 250 or should i just pony up a few hundred more bucks and get the 300? i prefer the digital dash and i like that its fuel injected but idk if its worth the extra money. i also dont know if the insurance would be more expensive or not

Small bikes give new riders a false sense of skill level and teach a few bad habits. Great for the basics but quickly jump to a 600, best all around size in my opinion. Otherwise light bike performance will get ingrained in your head like easier cornering, heavy throttle use and quick stopping and get you into trouble later on when you upgrade.

johnathan bishop its pretty easy, think of the gears as vertical, 1st is at the very bottom, half click up is neutral, if you want to go to 2nd from 1st just go a full click up, then click up the rest of the gears however many you have. And from 2nd to neutral is a half click down,. If you've ever driven a stick shift car shifting is basically the same idea, pull clutch in, let off gas, shift, and then release clutch and get back on the gas at the same time.
