2012 Honda CBR1000RR vs 2012 Suzuki GSX-R1000 vs 2012 Yamaha YZF-R1 vs 2012 Kawasaki ZX-10R

It has been a couple years since we last did a Japanese literbike shootout, because, frankly, the field has been quite stagnant for a while (save for Kawasaki's total revamp of the ZX-10R last year). It took them another year, but Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha have all tweaked their respective contenders for 2012 - the CBR1000RR, GSX-R1000 and YZF-R1, have significant changes, while Kawasaki returns for 2012 with the same traction-control-equipped machine it introduced last year, confident of its chances.

I wish these wanna-be editors could talk about one of the bikes for more than 12 seconds at a time. The editing of these videos is the equivalent of Reading a book but skipping every 12 pages. You learn nothing and comprehend even less than nothing.

Anyone have new or closer to new 2009-2014 r1, I just bought an used 12 r1, what I notice if below 3.5k rpm transmission feels like clunky/ missing a gear feel, or the feel give full power at top gear at when engine making noise because not in higher speed is it suppose to do that? Above 7k rpm engine feels butter smooth. Clutch engage right away so I have to ride the clutch tiny bit more than other liter bike I had.

      Hi Hello

I know the gsxr is the "OG" but have you ever heard of people say of a company, "no, go to these guys. They have been doing it forever. The originals. They know what their doing"

Same with Sazuki. They don't want electronics. The True professional racers don't want them. They limit you from YOU doing what you want. Second with the styling. Yes, Sazuki does not pay as much attention to looks, they are the "OG's" of the engine, which is what we all want. Best bike for low/mid range power. Smash on any on ramp or freeway (not condoned) that you need on the street. Forget the other bikes that you have to wait until 70mph before you finally accelerate.

Whats with that shitty looking rev clock on the zx-10. Suzuki looks as cheap and the fit is also rubbish. The other two bikes are the quality here for sure

I know styling is each to own but it came down to a 2014 gsxr 1K or the 2014 zx10R & i went with gsxr, looks alone the gsxr looks waaay better, i dont need tc or abs so the savings was nice too!!!

It's simple. TC is nice to have. Don't like it. Turn it off. Like it, leave it on. The option is always there for rider to choose.
R1 is the sexiest bike out of all
IMHO but lowest hp with heaviest weight. No thanks until Yamaha does something about it.
CBR and Gixxer. Both are good bikes with decent power. But "good" nowadays is not enough. Honda and Suzuki need to pull their heads out of their ass and give the audiences something new. It's getting boring and behind.
The only bike that actually worth to purchase and got pretty much the whole package is the ZX-10R. Power, weight, handling, maintaining, price...
Unless you're a fanboys or like certain look. It's no brainer that the 10R is the best Japanese liter bike until this day.

I laughed when they told: Honda quality!

Not knowing if they were saying "good quality" or "bad quality", because the Honda that I had was way worse then my other bikes in terms of quality... sure they make good bikes, but the one I bought and the aids the seller gave me were the worse thing you could get.
