According to Jeep, one of the main reasons people weren't wanting to drop their cash on a Cherokee was the design. It didn't strike the right chord with potential buyers and as a result Jeep listened and took to it with the design knife. Paul Maric goes for a drive.

You guys are into Overlanding, I think more than us in the US, I'd have thought you'd probably buy a Trailhawk for mall crawling and take your 'other' recreational vehicle on the trails :-) I had a 2014 KL Trailhawk which I added rock rails to, and now have a 2019 KL Trailhawk Elite which comes with mopar rock rails fitted. I offroad with some hardcore guys who at first doubted the KL TH, but after seeing it perform, it's gained a lot of respect. The rear locker is the winner for this vehicle, it makes all the difference. You definitely need the rock rails, skid plates are included but those plastic runners are a joke if you want to push this vehicle. Obvious limitations are clearance and articulation and of course, air down doesn't help with clearance. I'd recommend any slight lift you can make and try to increase the tire size just to get an inch or so more clearance. You can't beat body on frame for offroad articulation, but I sincerely feel Jeep has done a great job with the KL Thrailhawk especially when you figure in the electrics.

Where do people go off-roading, like you see in these videos? I know I have nothing like that where I live. Beautiful vehicle however.

I’ve got the 2014 Trailhawk that has that stuff already. 3.2L V6. So the only difference really is some small body changes and an “unpark” button.

Jeep, or Atleast what it used to be. Is a dead company. They have moved to such a sissy ass design.

The ORIGINAL Jeep Cherokee Square body is absolutely the best Jeep ever was. And will ever be.

I own a 1992 Jeep Cherokee Laredo. And I wouldn’t sell it to a man begging for me to sell it for even three million dollars.

Suck my left nut Jeep. Whoever’s your CEO. Needs to die and burn in Hell.

If you want a boxy Jeep Cherokee-get the Grand Cherokee. What’s the point in having both models be boxy? Not everyone wants a boxy vehicle. At least Jeep is offering a sporty model in their lineup. No car company is making their cars look the same way they made them 26+ years ago.

Long live the Square body Cherokee. The most rugged and aggressive 4x4 vehicle ever made by man.

The new jeep range has already been recalled, the Cherokee and the compass. One with brake issues and the other(compass) accelerates without warning when in cruise control. Testimony that they truly are modern pieces of junk.

This is so off topic and I might sound like a 12 year old but the area around you looks exactly like Forza Horizon 3. It really does. Great review as always. Wish there was a Luxury version of this a mix of BMW X3 and this JEEP would be so awesome.

I love the Cherokee Trailhawk, probably the coolest midsizer. Wish we got the 2.0t from the USA. Unfortunately, boot size is a farse, 780L is too the roof. it more like 420L
