There are a lot of 3-row crossovers to choose from. Kia’s new 2020 Telluride is a force to be reckoned with. Available in front and all-wheel drive, this family SUV has the room, safety tech, performance, rugged design and value that shoppers are looking for. Tom Voelk spends 10 days in a top trim SX AWD model and finds it to be a top pick in this very competitive segment.

      Hi Lot

Nice vehicle and has good features and appointments. Ride is nice and comfortable in the ones I drove.

But how reliable are they? I keep a vehicle for ten years or more, so I am more concerned about their record.
No Long Track Record of Dependability. They have terrible problems with their turbo 4 cyl. engines and had all kinds of metal junk in their V6 engine from Georgia in the last years. Had to replace some engines.
      And all those engine fires?

Toyota Highlander has a record..you can put more faith into. And no big glaring problems in the recent years in Highlander.

Having owning Hyundai in the past...the warranty thing is more marketing than reality.
There are so many loop holes in the warranty... I was not impressed.

Pricing is another issue. They are over priced. And their mid size SUV is way over priced.

The big mistake and disappointing about this large SUV, it's an FWD platform.

Ford did the right decision by making the new 2020 Explorer an RWD SUV.
      Thanks.

It's AWD. In normal driving, you don't notice the difference. There's nothing 'disappointing' or 'big mistake' about this truck.

It would be more practical if the rear intercom had a physical button. Just push for as long as you need it for, or also create a lock button option for it so you don't have to keep it pushed while speaking.

I love SUV's, but honestly speaking if i need to carry 6 or more, i will go with a toyota siena sport. it drives amazing and does not lack power with its v6 and close to 300 horse power and yet good fuel economy.

I wouldn't want to have to replace a water pump on one of those Duratec 3.5L or 3.7L V6 engines. You would have to drop the engine to remove the timing cover and replace the chain driven water pump. I would have no problem replacing a water pump on a Kia, which is mounted externally and extremely easy to replace.

      S Walk

This may have been addressed however I'm posting wherever I can to get clarification

The Telly is advertised as capable of towing 5k lbs. which is what the powertrain can handle. however the factory tow package is a 4 pin and the manual shows only rate for 3,510lbs (351lb Tongue weight).

Paying for the Tow package seems like a waste now.... why would KIA attach a hitch that does not maximize the potential of a vehicle that would give the appearance of a 'total package'.I sent my dealership an email on this. Just an fyi. I am not am expert so feel free to give feedback or provide corrections.
