The fact of the matter here is you would most likely serve all of these crashes with the Ford, Chevy and Dodge. All the childish arguments over one truck being better then the other is stupid. I’v owned all three of these trucks before, and there are good points and bad points to all of them.

Why don't they start back to making car and trucks the old fashion way and maybe they wouldn't Tear up like that do.

The Thickness of the metal make a difrence ,a small object would be stronger than a large object with same material thickness and same apply to these trucks. Too big and weak.

You want you truck to crumple and absorb impacts. Less whiplash for the driver. It's not like you would want to repair that vehicle after it had that bad of front end damage. Are you fixing the ford to drive it because it too less damage. No it's a write off and you buy a new one.

You're entitled to your opinions and views but for all three manufactures the trucks are a complete right off. The chassis bending like they did is serious but the importance is how the cab performers and anybody who understands collisions knows that crumple zones are a part of the overall design and expectations.

I think Ford was the toughest but the fuel tank ruptured because you showed the under side.
The Ram absorbed and distributed the impact a little better. True the frame bent but it seemed to be less force on the dummies.
The Chevy frame bent too but I didn't get to see the absorbed impact on the dummies.
So for what it's worth, there's my 2 cents

Some of the crash tests that these institutes perform are sort of unrealistic, because if your crashing into a wall, chances are it’s not gonna be at 35 miles an hour

GM is my pick because of the side airbags for rollover protection. All the trucks are going to have frame damage.
I have been in the auto industry since 1979.
GM, FOMOCO, MOPAR in that order.

The dodge is designed to bend behind the cab to deflect the g forces of the crash. GM was the first to do this in the late 90s with their cars.

Wait a minute guys .....come on let Ford win just one category, after all the have the worst engine, worst ride and worst quality.
I want the frame to bend . Otherwise the insurance company will fix it and give it back rather than pay it out like they should.

Perhaps showing equally equipped had a diesel, ram had gas, cant tell what chevy had. Different engine/drivetrain makes a difference; weight and mounting points.
