My 2016 F–150 4x4 2.7 Regular cab Will pull on any of the other truck brands V-8 engines, I’m glad I made the choice to get this unassuming engine and with a simple tune the truck will go under five seconds 0 to 60

I've got a 2015 v8. A steady year round avg 20.5 mpg. I know the ecoboosts get good mpg's but what happens when you put a load on them. Yes they ramp up nicely to pull it but what happens to the gas mileage? A couple of my friends say it really goes down. If you haul a lot is the gas mileage actually less over time than a v8?

Ecobust. The more complicated the engine, the more expensive maintenance/repairs are. Give me the V8 any day. It only tows 1k lbs. less than the 3.5 ecobust and you get 23 mpg highway, not the figure that was mentioned in the video.

They are both overhead cam engines and if you mean the turbos, big trucks get 500,000 miles on a turbo all the time. Been using turbos since 1925

I decided on the 2.7 eco when i picked up my 2018. And can't believe how much power it has with amazing fuel consumption for a full size pickup. I would recommend at least a test drive before you badmouth that small V6.

Don't buy anything from this dealership! The service department is the worst. Took my truck in for service there and they scratched it and gave it back to me in worse condition than when I brought it to them. They promised to fix everything and NEVER called me back after they supposedly ordered all the parts they broke. Pathetic!!

A year, 18,000 Miles, 20.4 mpg’s (hand calculated), not a single trip back to the dealer, it’s quiet, fast and pulls a 5,000 pound horse trailer occasionally without any problem. I’d have to say the 2.7 ecoboost has been a surprise, can’t believe how good this lil engine performs. Doesn’t have that great v8 sound, but in every other way got to say I love my 2.7 ecoboost!

Did you run a special type of fuel or do anything unusual to keep the 2013 in good shape? Mine was a pain from 80,000 + miles.
