      Who needs 800HP? I need 800hp!😄
Seriously, what is the first thing every millionaire buys? A fast car, mostly super charged V8 or V10s. Billionaires don't care since they have private jets and helicopters but for the rest of us common folk we should have more options and that includes V8s. Now for people who complain about gas mileage then that's why you have MDS which would cut 4 cylinders when cruising. There's also pedal acceleration controls since throttle body are all mostly electric and no longer use steel cables. That's why there are certain horse power modes to adjust the fuel to air mix ratio and throttle body to gas pedal acceleration in supercharged vehicles. I miss the days when you could afford a big V8 and it was cheap and easy to modify. Chrysler and GM still do it but it's no longer cheap since they are pushing it for more exotic enthusiasts and not the middle to low income wage customers.

Because the hellcat engine has more power it is the better design? Come on, at least do some research about reliability, or cost. The ls series are the most commonly swapped modern engine for a reason. They are proven to be strong, cheap, and a great platform to build serious power. EVEN THE ZL1 CAMARO BEATS THE HELLCAT ON THE TRACK, pulls more g's on the skid pad, brakes better, handles better and the overall build quality is better. The corvette isn't even a comparison.

Wow these comments are cringe. I own a 454 that blows my socks off when I press the gas but I still recognize the importance of other engines. My daily driver? 5 cylinder Mercedes diesel. Beautiful engine masterfully built. Puts a smile on my face every time I start it up. Im not winning any races but I can still respect the craftsmanship that went into the engine.

I used to think car with v8 and r400 horse are great until one day I was stuck in traffic and I was side by side with a superb sports car we were all going at the same speed and I suddenly realized in a city with bad traffic problems and a car with all that horse powers can no longer go faster than I am in the traffic unless it's a open road I just need a car to go from point a to b that's all I needed

I hear that the American Arborist and Tree Society strongly disapproves of 700+ horsepower automotive engines. To equalize tree loss from car collisions, we should require a tree be planted for each car with an engine above 700 horsepower. Surplus tree lumber could then be harvested to make burial caskets.

It's the same found on the Tundra with additional bolts and tweaks to make it smother. Very powerful, but thirsty, yielding just 15, 18 mpg's combined. Is a dated but proven engine. Check that now there's like 3 tundras that reached 1 million miles, just with regular maintenance. You have a very long way to go with that vehicle. Cheers!

There is so much junk that Chrysler produces past and present. Shitty transmissions, shitty v6’s, even shittier v4’s, blowby before its first oil change, etc etc.

      BUT

They make a pretty damn good v8 hemi.
