Know why I'm looking at a crossover for my next vehicle instead of a nice sedan? Headlights. Not joking. I can't make people stop using super bright headlights or force them to get their headlights adjusted. All I can do is try to find a vehicle with a higher seating position to try to somewhat mitigate getting blinded all the time on the way to work (3rd shift).

I've a Hyundai SEDAN, my mother a Corolla SEDAN, brother a Nissan Sentra SEDAN, and my sister a Lexus SEDAN. Three decades ago, we owned a Chevrolet Nova, Caprice, Vega and a small Buick-all SEDANS. There is a trend here, and its not good for the future off the American auto industry.

GM killed off the Australian made RWD Commodore and replaced it with a rebadged German-made Opel Insignia (I believe it is a Buick in the US?), which is a good car but very little resales are the result.

Since Ford is getting rid of most of their cars except the Mustang and Taurus while they are only concentrating on their trucks and SUV'S, GM needs to think twice by not doing the something. They should give and surprise the Chevy fans and supporters by bringing back their classic Chevrolet cars. the Nova, Chevelle, Bel Air, Monte Carlo, Caprice Classic, and El Camino and replace these Chevy cars like the Spark, Sonic, Cruise, and Malibu except the Impala make two package options, the four door family Sedan and the two door coupe ss and coupe convertible ss. If GM does this, it will make Ford look like shit because not all Americans like or drive SUV'S and trucks, people just want a nice looking car especially a classic car with style and performance plus it will make GM look alot better and smarter. Just have these classic legends compete with other competitors like Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Subaru, ect ect. If GM does the something Ford is doing then GM is dumb just like them. The only thing Ford did right was bring back the Lincoln continental. Now it's time to also bring back the classic and original Cadillac's like the Eldorado, FleetWood, Deville, Seville and more.

I am so disgusted with GM. I though am not surprised by what they are doing. There is no body there that are "car guys". There just a bunch of pencil heads and mongols. I worked for that company 36 years and I had a front row seat watching these idiots make dumb ass decisions. I left there in 2009. Even I am considering looking across the street for my next vehicle.

I had a 2014 sonic in 2015 and at 64k km I had to replace an alternator, oil pan housing, thermostat and a fan. Ended up getting a base model grand caravan the next year, 147k km not a single issue since getting it at 66k

Wait so all of these vehicles are Discontinued??? If it is this is all a joke because only 2 vehicles that’s the XTS and the impala the rest are amazing and why did they change the Cruze for 2019 and it is discontinued? I’m really disappointed if this is all true because the CT6 had a really big change for 2019

I have a 2000 Honda CRV with 257k miles on it. Other than oil change and regular maintenance all I’ve done is put a new rear end and drive shaft. Only did that because I wanted to keep my AWD.

Sedans simply don't sell anymore. Even police departments and local governments are using SUVs and compacts. The sedans that are still seen roaming the land are typically high end status symbol cars. Benzes, BMWs, Audis, etc.

I was a little jealous when GM was retooling and EVERY EMPLOYEE received full pay and benefits for almost a year (without working for it). Then the union pushed and shoved themselves out of a gravy job. You GM employees have no one to blame but yourselves...

A high school classmate of mine had a father who designed the steering column lock for GM. Worked flawlessly until some modern dumbazz beancounter in management deceided to change it to save 57 cents per lock. The result was injuries and deaths when it malfunctioned and cut off all engine functions. No wonder Japanese and Korean brands are selling so well. The big 3 built junk, and lost their customer base on merit.

GMs car brands have really ugly headlights and design language. Most all crossovers have a really bad offroad ability, skinny side profile wheels lol.

If the goal is to preserve US jobs, then an informed consumer is the best defense. If you decode the VIN number, the first two characters identify the vehicle final assembly location; 1G = assembled in USA, 2G = assembled in Canada, 3G = assembled in Mexico. GM plans to bring the Chevy Cruze built in Mexico to supply the 100K + sales after closing the Lordstown assembly plant which builds the Cruze today. If the consumer asked the dealer for a new Cruze assembled in the USA, and they can only offer the built in Mexico vehicle, then maybe a better option would be the Chevy Sonic which is assembled in Michigan’s Orion plant. GM will pay attention if inventory levels increase due to no sales. And I am sure the good workers at Orion assembly would welcome the added sales.
