The Civic Sport is overpriced for what it is, considering it comes at a premium price and equipped only with the base engine. The LX would be a better deal if the base 2 litre engine and 6=speed were to be paired. The Civic Sport costs almost as much as what the base Accord costs, and the standard engine on the Accord is the 1.5 turbo, which is a pricey option on the Civic (you gotta buy the even more expensive Civic Touring), and on the Civic Touring it comes only with the CVT, whereas on the Accord, either 6-speed manual or CVT could be ordered.

msbrownbeast agreed the lx is the best bang for buck. The only reason I’d go up to the sport is to stay with the 2.0 and gain fog lamps and alloy wheels.

Is the 2019 Si still suffering the oil dilution problem due to its turbo engine? Wondering b/c I am trying to decide between this and the civic sport and would like my car to run at least 150k miles

Honda needs to make a SI hatch for those that want the SI performance but not a fan of the coupe/sedan and don't want to go HAM and get a CTR... while also not having to compromise and get a sport hatch with watered down interior amenities. And while we're at it.. #savethemanuals

I would definitely get the Civic SI. It’s a bit faster, better looking , and it’s safer

      A couple of observations/concerns/issues.

      1. Thx for comparing sport vs si bc that's what I am probably going to choose next. Outside possibility of 2.0T accord sport 6M. Would prefer the si much more than the sport, but I can't stand the fake vents on si, wondering if 2020 model will do away with those.

I have a '17 Sport SPECIAL EDITION 6M. A very rare car. One thing that drives me nuts w/ Honda is their pathetic factory sound systems. My Sport SE has 160w stereo with 4 speakers. Why would someone who enjoys sportiness of that model with 6M only want that crappy audio? I know the real reason is that the sport model is more of an LX based model positioned between it and the EX, and Honda doesn't want the sport to cannibalize sales of the higher priced EX. Though all I see on the road is sport civics/accords everywhere, rare to see an EX. So the si comes with the 450w stereo with 10 speakers. Can any of you who own the '19 si please give me feedback of your impressions of its audio system?

Finally, interior noise is always an issue. Hard to hear hands free calls at highway speeds. I don't know if the noise comes from the wheel wells, or the thinner windshield, or both. Acuras have a thicker windshield.

Please know that I am addressing these issues as a loyal Honda consumer. I have purchased only Honda vehicles since 1986. I won't purchase cars from any other company.

Any and all respectable feedback is sppreciated!

Mark Harms I have a 2019 Civic Si and the speakers are decent. I personally think that my 2006 Acura TSX w/ Nav has better speakers. And when it comes to handsfree I havent had a single problem at all when it comes to listening what they’re telling me.

The 2019 Sport hatchback has a 180hp 1.5 turbo, while the sedan has the 2.0 158hp NA engine. Why the hell does Honda do this ?

I'm going to get the Si in crystal black pearl. I don't want no Honda sensing crap. "I" want to be in 100% control of the car. And I want my cruise to just go at whatever speed I set it at. None of this adaptive cruise crap. Great review and looking mighty fine too!
