Really liking my 19 with 3.5 EcoBoost.
I went with the bells and no whistles.
      4x4 XL 101A
      3.5
      Electric locker
      Hitch
      36 gallon fuel tank.
      Hey Ford....
Some real headlights would sure be nice!
      That's my only gripe.
Maybe the fog lights would help...but I don't think so.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give low beams maybe a 3
      High beams...6

Hoping with Ram building nice interiors that Ford begins to step up their standard features and materials. The interior is the only thing that holds me back from pulling the trigger at that price point

5.0 Coyote is the best and only reliable engine Ford makes on the newer F150’s. The Ecoboost is well known for serious engine and turbo issues. If you keep a truck for less then 3 years then any motor since your under the warranty but if you plan on like me keeping your truck for years to come then 5.0 is the only way to go.

I own a 2011 model FX4 5.0 luxury package and love all that it has and I would love to buy the same thing again in the 2018. HOWEVER, I can not punish my self further with all the problems that it has had and will have. Not ever again even if it came with a 10 year 150000 mi. warranty!!!!!

https://youtu.be/ItBcsj0DeiE every dyno is different this guy got 318 on a bone stock 2016 I feel like on a different dyno it would be a few more ponies. The first gen f150 coyote makes from what I’ve seen 285 to 290 to the wheels and they have 360 crank hp

You have to keep in mind the 2016 is NOT a Gen 3 Coyote so that's why you are seeing the lower numbers (less compression, etc) But I agree all dynos will be different to a certain extent. -Justin

You can permanently disable the auto-stop feature by unplugging the very bottom cable in the white box to the left of the brake peddle. There is a white box with 3 plugs in it. Its the very bottom one with the smallest head. Kinda looks like a phone wall chord. My sales man showed me how to disable it. It works!!

Auto start and stop is a deal breaker for me. You want to prematurely wear your engine out fast that’ll do it.

Ford is pricing themselves out of the half ton market. For $50k I'm getting a F-250

    • Ryan S
Ryan S In reply to fordrac1ng81

I'm not so sure about that, the ranger will cost you more than the same equipped f150, I think they are almost pricing the smaller trucks at a premium with all the fancy options on purpose. If you have use for the f250 and will put it to work then great if you can get one comparable to a loaded f150, but I think the marketing executives have the money figured out, sell smaller truck for more money=good deal for Ford!! You don't have room for an f250 in your driveway? F150 costs almost the same! No room for an f150? No problem, for $2000 more you can get a smaller underpowered ranger with the same options!
