A special trick on Acura is the rotating power mirrors when the vehicle is put into reverse (switch on either L (left) or R(right). This helps if you are parking in a tight spot and want to avoid getting a wheel rash if you are too close to the curb or just as a tool to aid in parking in general. I found this feature is quite useful in some cases.

The rotating part in the back of the mirror maybe broken or got damaged/misaligned.

Easy fix for the click-click crazy Acura & Honda mirrors... I got tired of buying replacements after 4 new actuators so I took the last one a part and fixed it better than new under 15mn.
Long story short... you don't even need to remove the 3x actuator screws!
Simply pop the glass and next the single central torx screw that compresses a spring.
Next you'll need just a nail file to shave and round up smooth the 4x edges of the black platic cross in the center.
(if you look closely these 4x edges wear out a flat edge that cause the central pressure plate to bind during motion inside the cavity)
The internal 2x motors and gear are almost like new because there is a circular spring that alows gear theeth to jump when tork gets too high - Just shave the edternal pressure plate edges smooth and don't tighten the pressure screw too tight unless you further shave the 4x finger like edges.
When reassembling your pressure plate, try to align the 2 top fingers to a "10:10" position or look at your other mirror as example.
Did that on both my 6 years old actuators L+R: both rotate better than new now 😁

Does this come in the 2013 TSX as well? As far as I know it only goes down on the right side, not on the left

kindom, mine does the same thing and see many others have as well looking on the web. What gets me is so many people defend this"feature" as some kind of item to brag about when it fact it's just a repair bill waiting to happen.

kindom2011 : read my post! Fixed better than new under 15mn for FREE... simply shave the pressure plate 4x fingers - see my comment entry under this video.

It's the mirror actuator issue. It's out of alignment or is broken.
