The NSX a marvel engineering. Being build here in the great USA.

Please understand that Honda will not send some average worker on these cars. They are highly trained from Honda to build these cars.

Americans taught the rest of the world about the automotive industry..the cross tripped over their own greed... rather then reinvest in tech and research...they chose to pilfere their own companies instead..... let alone any and all factory or production work.. we used to be ahead of every country on this planet...and look what's happened... industry is lost here..soon agriculture ... gone...we've lived the last twenty years on this facade of the greatest country. world leader epitaph....all propaganda for the restless natives.. the rich in this country need to be slain in the streets for the crimes they've propagated in this country and to the common citizens.....our blood sweat and tears made them the opulence they indulge in...while we struggle to get by...Damm shame.. America been sold out

k z a Really? Americans build airplanes, rockets, satellites, electronics, and all sorts of things that last forever. It is when American companies OUTSOURCE parts and labor to save money when things go wrong. Actually, Honda builds some of their cars in Tennessee and Ohio with American workers, and they have proven to be just as reliable as their Japanese counterpart. And once upon a time, the U.S used to manufacture just about everything. Once again, most of that stuff has been outsourced to China, Mexico, Etc, where they go for the lowest price possible.

Nothing is bad about a American assembling a car but when a American is assembling a Japanese exotic car then something is wrong. The of NSX has nostalgic photos of the car being worked on by Japanese engineers with 10 years or more experience with Honda. Compare that to what's being done today and it is a insult to Honda sports car fans. The Honda truck should be made by Americans not the Supercar this is so stupid!

honda should have bought the rights to use and tune the jaguar xj220's engine for use in the new nsx

(3.5 v6 turbo, tuned to 680 hp in the xj220 s models) and hookup a 6-speed automatic with RWD instead of 9 speed awd

the weight would have dropped to maybe 3300 lbs, the price would drop to about $90-$110K from not needing that electric hybrid motor nonsense, and the power output would be at least the same if not higher.

the xj220 was overlooked back in the 90's. but went 212 mph with only a 3.x L v6.

I really doubt that Americans can keep building quality of 2nd generation NSX on same high level as of 1st generation NSX by Japanese. Now workers look like professionals because of filming. I hope that Japanese will check them often. It would be nice to see that final check is performed by Japanese technicians.

Who says that Honda has to build a car, even one like the NSX, in a specific country? It is not like the labour is inferior, especially when the American workers Honda has building the NSX are well-trained, or that it is even a cost-cutting measure.

Made by clumsy inexperienced Americans, who are so used to having things made for them that they themselves have no building skills. It's laughable to think this bunch would be able to build a supercar with the precision and care that supercars usually get by experienced workers, who learned over the years and passed down their knowledge to further improve on it. Just go back to building hyundai cars. Those things don't last that long. I wonder why

I'm not the biggest fan of American manufacturing I'm actually very critical of it. However, the OP was a bit rude to American workers. Honda sent the employees to Japan, from what I've heard. Also, Honda is a very innovative and progressive company. I am sure it is teaching its workers about every nut and bolt on the NSX.
Anyway, I believe in free trade. The 2010s are the decade of great cars. My personal favorite is the German built Ford
      Focus RS.
