The audio in this video was recorded with in-ear binaural microphones. If you wear headphones, your mind won't be blown, but it will go, "woah, that's cool."

I'm also the producer for the Winding Road YouTube Channel:

Here on TheTopher, I'm known for putting a camera on my face and driving cars. Whether it's about any of my personal cars or reviews on weekly press vehicles, the goal is to give you an idea of what a certain car is like to drive or live with. Most of my videos are filmed in POV, with my clothes on, and (for like the 5th time) with in-ear binaural audio. Which, if I haven't made it clear yet, is why you should wear headphones. Because of the whole "woah" factor. It's there, trust me. Try it, it's pretty nuts. Or don't. As long as you whitelist me on your adblocker I'm okay with whatever you do or don't do with regards to headphone usage. That is all. Oh and I guess you should also probably subscribe. Why are you still reading this, you should be watching the video. With headphones! Hah, had to sneak that in there one more time. Later!

"Its not a ton of power ? " Wow, how much power do you need ???? 316 hp in a pretty small sedan, seems like it would be a rocket, and with awd it should be putting the power down well. Is it just the small 2 liter engine that gives you pause ?

Great review! My lease was coming up on my 2016 S60 T5. If I waited a little longer, I might have been able to snag a better deal/higher trim level on the new S60, but I needed vehicle ASAP. Ended up settling on a 2019 S60 T5 Momentum in fusion red, equipped with premium package, 19 inch wheels, and the exterior styling package with the front spoiler/side skirts/quad exhaust. Absolutely love it! Despite its increased size, it’s definitely a little peppier than my last S60! R Design was what I really wanted, especially since my last Volvo had paddle shifters (sport package), but it is what it is :). I tested out the German competition and my mom’s Lexus IS, and equipped at the same price (this is important), the Volvo just felt better. I also like how these are still so new that there are few of them on the road.

where's the engine temp gauge? DISLIKE the flashing 'speeding!' nanny... in the land of Sweden, where is gets to 0* and below, the giant, controls everything, center touch pad doesn't seem like the best way to go. LCDs and other screen types hate cold wx. how slow is it when the car is 30*F on the inside? 10*F? -10*F? I'm sure it works well in the summer, but a car "born" in Sweden, should perform well (all aspects) in the frigid winter. I like that they are now made in SC, but cold wx performance of features need to be considered for those markets that actually experience a winter and where people park their cars outside.

I have the XC40. I know is all about design, minimalism, etc. but having 2 100% digital screens....I wonder why they can not give more options of design. More colors to pick of...

Now you have a super fast car and don’t drive it to the end (stability / inside noise / gas mileage). Instead you are taping at night. This is not a great review.

Nice! a 316 HP engine that gets dusted by a 252 HP Audi A4! I cannot imagine why someone would choose this over the Audi, even if it is really pretty.

Mark's Tech I’m considering the new S60 T5 Inscription. I intend to keep the car for 10 years, which is the duration I usually use my cars for.

How well will it hold up with time? Will the electronics last for that long?

+Mark's Tech You're making a basis for 2 outlying events. That's unfortunate. The rest of the world does not share your experiences. The data shows that you would be more likely to experience a catastrophic failure driving the Volvo. I still think Volvos are perfectly reliable. However, your argument that Audi's are not reliable, is not accurate. The Volvo is very pretty, but the Audi is a superior vehicle when comparing this model to the A4.

lo ball lol I had a 2010 Audi A4 that took a shit at 136k miles. I had a Mercedes that needed an engine rebuilt at 78k miles. My Volvo has 163k, all it needed was timing belt change and that’s it. My moms 2006 Volvo XC90 has 209k miles, also running perfect. From working at a euro car shop for the last 4 years, I can attest to seeing more Audi’s and Mercedes than Volvo’s. Idc what consumer reports say. What I care about is physically seeing stuff. And seeing Audi’s in the shop I work at is laughable. I’m not saying all of them suck, they don’t.

+Mark's Tech You're talking about the total mileage, not mileage for amount of time, which is irrelevant speaking of reliability. 163k is not that remarkable, if it is to you, then that gives me some perspective about why you believe the Volvo is so reliable.

lo ball 163k for 4 years of driving? Yeah. That seems like a lot to me, and 99% of Americans considering the average driving mileage per year is 15k.

I'm not feeling that new twin charged 4 cylinder from Volvo. All the complication of that dual system isnt worth it imo. The power just isn't there. Not when you can buy an Audi S4, with a single turbo 6 cylinder that will stomp this volvo into the ground. I like volvos. I would buy one to haul the family. But if I want an exciting sport sedan it's going to be an Audi or BMW.

Some people just don't need the most powerful car they can get. The power in this is enough, while still providing great fuel economy, safety, and luxury feel. I don't think you can balance it any better than this.
