A big key is to minimize spinning your wheels. Sometimes these vehicles can just idle over things.
Probably a good idea to remove the front bumper before off-roading.

I wondered what Jeep or rather Chrysler Jeep was thinking with that front end so low to the ground especially on the 4WD models.Just don't make sense for off road.

+Flatline Heartbeat they were thinking you would read the manual and remove the bumper cover using the quick release clips and put the bumper cover back on for the road.

FYI: Actually that front valance or air dam is easily removed with 7 quarter turn fasteners. It's make to be easily removed for just such activities. Not sure about the back, I'll have to research that.

Friend in the user manual recommend you that if you use your vehicle in extreme conditions off road, you must remove the front spoiler preciselyso you do not damage your bomper. This action also gives you more input angle, also costs you one minute to remove the front spoiler

Does anyone know of a good offroad tire package to throw on a 2014 Limited 4x4? no lift, just stock

    • Thomas Maresh
Thomas Maresh In reply to Daniel Swithenbank

+Daniel Swithenbank Firestone Destination A/T or M/T tires. Smooth on the road, great traction on wet roads and great grip off-road. A cheap lift is a 2" "budget boost" (coil spring spacers) & extended shocks, and then you can fit 31" tires.
