BMWBLOG test drives and reviews the all-new 2017 BMW 530i M Sport Package. This new G30-generation is the best 5er since the E39-generation, without a doubt. For anyone who’s concerned with what BMW has been doing lately, complaining about the brand’s seeming departure from its roots, rest assured that this new 5 Series proves BMW still knows what it’s doing.

The 530i engine is for a person who wants luxury and efficiency. Not everybody needs to do 0-60 or burnouts on the way to work. 😇

as someone who just ordered and took delivery of an $83000 540xi fully loaded ... I even paid for the $1000 piano trim upgrade and the ceramic controls because I am a total interior snob,  I have to take exception with your statement "everything you can touch, feels of high quality"   While I agree with this mostly,  I was genuinely shocked by the cheap plastic black trim around the shifter area, the buttons and the ceiling lights.... shocked.  My kids Kia has nicer black basic trim inside.

um,  I bought sight unseen.. Ordered it ASSuming since its a BMW it will be like the other 9 BMW's have had... top notch.  It more or less is except for a few WOW areas, like this plastic trim.
