The trouble is with these 500hp+ supercars is they just do speed, once you get over 70mph (4.5 secs) your breaking the law! Cars need to make you feel good and get you excited when you get in them, I really don't think a car like this will do that. When I get in my 220hp 2.7 986 , I get quite excited and just love the car, it goes fast enough , handles like a go cart and is worth about Β£5k. Things have just gone too far with power, this applies to bikes too.Β
I'd be too worried about parking a car like this anywhere other that an AM dealers forecourt. Nice to look at but nah.

What, that car has a torque convertor auto, what year is this 2009!? It might look the part, but I suspect it's like owning a ticking time bomb if owning an Aston out of warranty. For those with more money than they know what to do with IMO.

Took until the end to realise you have the black wheels on. Last vid I watched they were swapped for GT3 wheels, I'm so confused πŸ˜•. Regarding the conclusion to this video I'd say for 99.9% of the time a Porsche, Aston or Prius can only go 70 so what's the bother after that. People like what they like, I love the sound of my Porsche, I love looking at my Porsche, I love watching my wife drive it because it gives a different perspective. 99.9% of the time a car is driven on a road and if you're not into track days that's 100% so taking out performance a car is about how you feel. For me nothing beats looking at that crest on the steering wheel of my Porsche, I wouldn't swap that for a raging bull or a prancing horse

I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but to my eyes, the Vantage is pig ugly and, unlike the 911, the looks will date very quickly. The look of the 911 is timeless.

The biggest question is if you could only have one car for daily use no matter the weather etc which would you pick?
911 of course . they last for years and years just looks at owners clubs they have cars for 20-30 years
you just wouldn't get that with an Aston as nice as they are

Aston martin , =old gentleman car , james bond type πŸ˜‚u wouldnt c one at a track day or cars and coffee etc πŸ˜‚ how the Porsche owner= well he loves every thing about driving , the style , performance, u will meet him at a track day , caning the arse of his boxster,911 etc ,cars and coffee, he will stand and talk to u about the car , and will know about what hourse power it has etc , aston martin owner , really has just bought the car because it looks good and they can drive it fast in a straight line , me if I had the money it would be Porsche all the way , for me their a drivers car , not a posers car ,

I think the new Vantage is from the front pig ugly. It’s a pity because from the side and rear it looks great. I have a 2007 Vantage which is beautiful from every angle and also a 987 Boxster S 3.2 and the Porsche is more fun with the roof down and feels every bit as quick as the Vantage. However, when I’m going to a posh hotel I always take the Aston!

Very good of Aston Newcastle to let you do that, the guy in the car with you was great. If they were a little more reliable, didn't cost as much to buy and fix you may see a few more on the road. I bought my first 911 off Aston, it was less than 6 months before they were back on the phone, asking if I was happy with it and wanted to trade for a Aston

Been saying that for a while, even on some mega ferrari sites, these modern 600bhp+ supercars have something missing that the 15yr+ old cars don't
The older cars seemed to deliver more to the driver and that was with usually less then 300-400bhp πŸ€”

To answer your last question, I think the answer is that a Porsche owner won't have an Aston in the garage as well but an Aston owner may well have a Porsche in their garage too.
Also an average Joe can buy a Porsche and have lots of cheapish fun but you can't necessarily do that with an Aston?
DB7 or a 911/Cayman/Boxster for your one and only cheap sports car, let's be truthful the DB7 is a much bigger risk

So if they offered you a straight swap with an .... Aston of your choice for the 911 , and you couldnt just sell it, you'd refuse .

Your comments are spot on... Porsche are not cheap to run.. but in comparison to the Aston's.... i think that is another reason why you don't see that many on the road. And i am will you on the older Porsche's. I have a 987 3.4 Boxster S and its amazing in my opinion... given the choice i would like a 997... simply can't afford it. Saw a guy the brought a 991.2 and was 'Not feeling it" apologised and asked people to not beat him up over it... Said just tooooo fast and Numb... most people said go back in time and get the earlier models... makes perfect sense to me... hope he took the advice..

Nice vlog for a change πŸ‘ but the same can be said about 911 turbo and turbo s , an ultimate missile from A to B but I it’s too is a sterile soulless car , long live the old naturally aspirated Porsche πŸ˜€

TACADO1 I don't think you'll be getting fair and unbiased debate here πŸ˜‚ you're right, and he stated it in the video too, even Porsche have lost the feel.

TheYjmfan ; as a Aston fan I obviously will disagree, but Porsche do it the best when it comes to handling they have done for a long time that's why all the other car companies are trying to catch up, just can't do it like Porsche
