This is another car of mine I finally got around to doing a video for. It's a 2003 Ford Police Interceptor, 3.27 trac loc rear end, all stock except for the rear cats have been removed (They were plugged due to a bad computer). No it was not topped out in this video, just ran out of road, it will do about 135. It's nothing special, just for comparison. I know it's not fast and I'm sure your 4-cylinder neon could beat it so don't bother posting comments like that.

Ford crown Victoria <3, even, this car is not a sport car but this car is just cult, you can buying a v8 of 260 hp for 10k-15k $, when I see the audi turbo diesel 4 cylindrer 160hp engine (thanks the downsizing 😓) in my country, I am desperate, lol, you buy this shit for 25-30k €😂🤔

I love the sound the V8 engine makes and it's really hard to find a crown Vic now a days all you see are ford turas that's what replaced the crown Vic and I am glad I own a crown Victoria police interceptor problem is mine creeps up to 60 slowly cause the previous owner had broke the 4 gear speed so need to buy another gear speed to do 140

Is it breaking up a little bit? It seems like it's not 100%. I've had 6 Panthers and an F150 with the 4.6 2V. Two 4.6 3V GTs, a Coyote in an 11 GT and F150 and a 6.2 F250...maybe I am just too used to the Caprice PPV now with 6L LS power...

damn this thing is so slow, I have a honda accord that weights roughly 3100lbs, and I have the almost exact same 0-100 time with my 4 cylinder 2.3L SOHC 😂 pretty sure the crown vic isn't that much heavier than my car, wich means it's really really slow for a V8 (where's the torque?) then I see people bitching "4bangers"

    • Bait28
Bait28 In reply to Jason Lafontaine

Jason Lafontaine also weight makes a difference, but you assume the Vic has no gas or spare tire or anything you listed. just an fyi, your weight is larger than the tires by far and the gas tank was a shit factor since both have them. it's just stupid to even compare the two. if you did an engine dyno with a 4.6 and the 2.3, the 4.6 is gonna win. also the 4.6 was also used in mustangs, and pickup trucks. if you compare to those they are all faster than the CVPI. it's like you found the slowest V8 car made just to say your Honda is faster

    • Bait28
Bait28 In reply to Jason Lafontaine

Jason Lafontaine because you can't understand cars. I guess you expect 900hp semis to be faster than your Honda too? and that was the worst comeback I've ever seen. I look like I'm 16? you can't even think for yourself so you have to copy what I'm saying. sad. next your gonna tell me you added an electric supercharger to your Honda and changed the exhaust tip for more horse power

Jason Lafontaine In reply to Jason Lafontaine

Bait28 anything that weights does make a difference dude. Why are you arguing so much? You're the one who looks like a 16 that lacks attention.

Bait28 In reply to Jason Lafontaine

Jason Lafontaine "I'm a mechanic", looks like he's 16, has a bunch of PewDiePie videos liked and saved, thinks spare tires are counted in curb weight, try to argue subs make a car heavier than the described weight when that makes the comparison invalid, can't figure out that a CVPI is geared with 2.73's and also tries to argue fuel when the CVPI has a larger tank.

That thing can fly for a huge ford panther body, nice long gears make for a pretty kick ass sound in the cockpit! I work night shift and leave work at around 5am every night and I've seen many times people assuming no cops are around and they can do 100 on the highway, and sure enough one of these boats always comes out of nowhere and roars past you with all of its lights and not bothering with the siren so you can hear that engine working amazingly. Good video, I'd love to own a P71 one day but I'm currently driving it's arch nemesis the yobomobile Golf GTI.

My 5 cylinder 2.4 turbo intercooler, 265 metric hp, gets 0-100mph in 13 seconds, instead of this doing 20 seconds over it. Of course, I am an European, I always drive manual. The advantage of these American cars is that 600 000 miles isn't much of a problem, this V8 will still be spinning - if well maintained, of course. My car will probably give up at 350 000 miles, even if well maintained.

Hey carpoof1.....I had a 1998 neon r/t that ran a 15.80s best in the quarter mile. I had it up to 135 but after 80 mph you could time the acceleration with a sun dial. Your cvpi would give me a good run in a drag race but would walk away from the neon at an 80 mph punch. People say the cvpi are slow and yes maybe by today's cars but your cvpi would pull hard on a 1960's era ford police car.....and those were 390 cu in big blocks! Nice car man.
