The EcoBoost in my Edge drives me crazy with slow throttle response and it doesn't get close to the MPG it was rated at. The V8 is awesome in my F150 and Mustang and get a little better than rated MPG.

Aw heck, I’m going to buy one of each. Be done with it. Only need two more, I already have 3.5 Ecoboost.

Even the 5.0 is anemic in a truck. Oh wait, that's not a truck. It a 4 door wheelbarrow.

My new 2019 5.0 crew cab, 6.5 ft box (157" wheelbase) is getting better mileage than my old 2013 5.0 super cab (145" wheelbase). At 395hp and 400ft lbs its noticeably faster even with the longer truck, I'll stick with the 5.0 forever especially for it's V8 sound. Roush cold air intake and flowmaster cat back will enhance that and put it over 400hp.

It's an engine not a motor. There are electric and hydraulic motors

I'm 150 years old and prefer the sound of wooden axles. It's traditional and sounds like hauling transportation to me, so I'm sticking with the horse drawn buckboard.

Your review was almost three years ago what do you have to say now as far as reliability. The Ecoboost have several issues and now the 5.0 also has issues.

None of those truck have motors , they have engines. A motor would be found in an electrical application.

The 5.0s will be on the road for 20+ years with minimal repairs unlike the ecoboosts. If you are a guy who gets a new truck every five years then maybe the ecoboosts are for you

Proper terminology is an engine, also its a 5.0 not a 5.o

Yea forced induction is fun but longevity is in question. If it is a lease or you upgrade every 5 years all is good BUT if you plan on keeping it 10 plus years the 5.0 is the only choice.

I have a f150 with it. It will tow my 8000rv no problem and gets good gas mileage. I think it's the most underated engine.
