Best use of Tinkertoys (spokes and wheels) I've seen since I was a kid. I like how they step thru the logic of adding spokes to increase continuity, and then it is obvious a lot of spokes eventually become gears.

Great clip - must have taken a lot of work to think it through and edit..step by step explanations and slowly morphing from spokes to bevel gears...genius

Pure genius, I originally thought this was another fake video created by CERN's beast . So, I was not going to watch it, I am glad I did.

I never had anyone, including many books explain it in so simple a manner and why it works the way it does for an open differential.

That extra touch of them running on the rubber tires at the end, excellent.

It made you worry about them falling off, but, took you back to the beginning with the two motorcycles turning together.

So something from 60+ years ago explains a concept better than all the modern videos with fancy 3D graphics. People have literally gotten significantly dumber since this tutorial was made

I have no idea why, but everything about these pre-50s themed videos throw me off. From the music, to the black and white picture, to the narrator’s voice.. I can’t stand it.
