The new Ranger is on the market now. Way too expensive for my tastes, though.

The front bumper is slightly twisted on the driver's side. My niggly. Cool truck, though.

Am I the only one who is nervous about the fact that, if someone rear ends this car, the owner is going to smash his head against the rolling cage? Too tall for the car and when Leno accelerates, you can see his head almost hitting it.

Jay, I have a 1995 BMW 325i that is sweet. Restored and almost stock. Give me a call and I'll bring it by. The M50B25 engine was the best inline 6 BMW ever made. 1995 was the last year they put that engine in an e36. None of that fake M stuff added. Just a really sweet 325i.

My father had a '78. It was a pile of rust by '85. My brother actually punched his hand through the rear fender. Dad was not impressed.

About 1977, that was when the American auto industry went into a downslide of poorly built cars.
Yes indeed, here in Pontiac, MI we called that the dreaded "The Carter Years".
You had the misfortune to have owned any brand of auto built from '76 to about '82 or '83 you said, "Yeah I had a Carter Year Chevy back then", etc. (yes, Carter was a one termer, out in '80 - but the cars were cheap until about '83)
Just made so cheap and flimsy, even the Monte Carlo or Thunderbird were terrible, but still big ole land boats.

Grew up in my dad's Bronco in the 80s... I am curious to see what the new one will be like next year maybe ? I got the new Ford Ranger this year so maybe I can talk my wife into the new Bronco... LOL. Such a great episode and the owner's love for his Bronco really comes through.

I was stationed at a Navy bombing range, in the early 70's. They had a couple of grey Navy Broncos, in addition to Dodge Power Wagons with full cabs, and a scattering of jeeps. The Broncos were my favorite, among the others, except for my '72 Camaro. I was good at wearing out tires.

My dad has owned a body shop since 1974. There are 3 ‘67 Mustangs behind it that need to be restored.
Two ‘C code’ coupes and one ‘A code’ convertible. I want to start restoring them this fall.

in 76 i ordered one for $5000. drove it for 10 years until the doors fell off due to rust. mechanically it was as good as when new, but the body was shot. good clearance, plenty of power. and unbelievably short turning capability. it would idle up the steepest incline in low gear, and idle down without using the brakes. best vehicle i ever owned.
