As the last model year for the TL nameplate, Acura carries over its once best-selling luxury sedan with minimal changes. Still offering a strong blend of sportiness, spaciousness, and performance, the 2014 Acura TL only begins to feel old when you get inside and notice a lack of modern technology and driver assistance. If that doesn't bother you, the TL may be exactly what you're looking for, especially those of you looking for a good deal. Other buyers may want to wait for the upcoming 2015 TLX.

Idk if anyone will see this comment, but isn’t it funny how back then we criticized cars for having “too much buttons”? And now? We complain of how there aren’t enough buttons!! For example, Volvo’s Sensus Connect has 0 buttons and can be difficult to use. How things change... hahah

+Angel Gutierrez Yes indeed, I'm an owner of one myself and it's one of the best choices I've made. Only things to look out for is power steering and the timing belt but other than that, should be fine

I like your Acura 2013 TL model review more compared to this. Not sure I feel like 2013 model is better than 2014 model from your review. I don't have much knowledge about cars, but planning to buy a used Acura TL either 2013 or 2014 because of its back shape design. Which one is better when it comes to overall performance ?

I blame the 2008 recession to the huge drop in TL sales. The 2nd Gen TL also sold well and got nearly 70,000 sales per year in 99-01

Most importantly, the TL is the last of its breed... last sport luxury sedan to offer AWD with a manual transmission

SkN what’s the point of manual? You got paddles in the automatic now.

Great review. I am looking to get the most sporty TL from 2012 - 2014 used. What is your recommendation?

and then, what other car would you compare that two?

2009 was also the beginning of the economic downturn in the US so that is responsible for most of the decline in auto sales.

Agreed. 3rd generation vs 4th. Well the 4th is offered with SH-AWD. People can argue looks other than that the 4th gen is superior.

I agree all those buttons are horrible to look at while driving. equally as bad is having a touch screen to control everything and having to tap several different times to adjust the air conditioning speed like you see in a lot of newer cars.
