I really like the 2018. Especially in the silver colour you showed with the nice rims.

The turbo 4cyl will break down faster and you’ll loose reliability. The v6 sounds better and rides smoother. and you won’t pay the prm if you go with a 2016.

I had no idea why every car reviewer concentrate on car interior than test drive. I also hate the ugly black trim on the A-spec. Why you always chose the least popular A-spec model? I test drove a 2019 RDX, then traded my 2014 CRV AWD for a 2018 RDX AWD with all the chrome trims. I liked the SH-AWD on the 2019 and wished I had it in my 2018. I hated the following on 2019 in this order: Turbo, 9 speed, Instrument control, black trim all over.

The new RDX design is so bad I thought it was a joke when I first saw it. Seriously, Acura? It looks like a Nissan. The older design was sleek, classy, smooth and elegant. This monstrosity is the exact opposite and looks like something a kid drew on a napkin. Fail.

You were wrong. I just traded my CRV in for a 2018 AWD base. Honda/Acura screwed themselves by adding the Turbo, CVT. Oh, I test drove the 2019 and couldn't wait to get out from the stupid center computer control. My 2018 doesn't have that shit. The only thing pissed me was Acura took out the SH/AWD in my 2018 for MPG. Who gave a Fuk about MPG on a $45,000+ car? I also hated the black wheel and other black on 2019.

"Acura Product Specialist" this is why people hate buying cars. No one feels like they're having a genuine conversation, they're just being sold. You're a sales rep. And that's a good thing! Just own it and deliver a positive experience. Love the 2019 a-spec!

In fact, Product Specialists at our stores are not Sales Reps, we are a separate team solely dedicated for information, and training purposes. If you need to purchase a car, I'd send you to one of our sales people.

Except for the tailpipes I much prefer the exterior of the old model, it's like the tried too hard.

They each have their own identity, and thankfully plenty of previous generation RDX's are on the market so if you decide this may be your next car you can choose to drive the one you prefer.

Hideous. The transmission selector is a deal breaker. Is it a gaping mouth of a large fish or a woman in stirrups? It's a modern day Edsel. The 2018 is a much better looking car. Acura has blown it yet again.

In fact, that gear selector is perhaps one of its best features. Its uncluttered appearance opens up the interior space, makes it easy to toss things to the passenger seat without something in the way, and if you accidentally turn the car off while in gear or if you try to leave the car, the car will automatically put itself into park- a traditional gear selector is just not going to offer all of those convinces and safety. Plus, each button has a unique feel so without ever having to look at the center console you can select the transmission mode you want to be in. Thats clever.

The change on 2019 was the reason I traded my 2014 CRV for a 2018 RDX. I love the V-6, 6 speed trans, conventional knobs on entertainment system. I even preferred my shinning chrome wheels than the ugly black wheels. The only thing I wished was a SH-AWD on my 2018.

All that SH-AWD will give is extra $$ to spend when oil needs to be changed.

The rdx looks well but that display below the infotainment looks like they took a step back to the 2013 and below year models. Too many buttons. That floating screen at the top is one reason I didnt go for BMW and Volvo its in hazardous spot and doesn't defend like Audi. Mind you touch pad and that whole iPad movement is old and no one useses ipads anymore. That wave has passed so I'm just wondering why acura is behind and put this floating information on their vehicles. If this is on the new mdx I will not be renewing my lease. The body is nice steering wheel ok but the others I mention not good. But just my oppinion do you have to have att to benefit from the hot spots?

This past weekend I went into Acura to check out the new RDX. Well... the 2019 is a vast improvement except the rear seat floor is so much higher that the 2018... the back of my legs were off the rear seat and my knees will be killing me after a 1 hour ride in the back! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REAR LEG ROOM!!! UGH!!!! Flat floor = lost leg room! Who wants to ride in a car with their knees are half way to their nipples!
