If you're looking for a big, comfortable, three-row crossover that won't break the bank, look no further than the Buick Enclave. For 2018 Buick has completely redesigned their big CUV to deliver better performance, handling, a quieter ride and a more premium experience but GM didn't change the Enclave's value proposition. It'll still cost you more than a comparable Highlander or Pilot, but it's also still $10,000 less than the smaller European luxury crossovers as well.

There are a few companies that are making a defeat for the auto start/stop. I’m looking at getting an Enclave. If I do, I know a company that makes a wiring harness that cuts the signal off for the auto start/stop, and it can be removed without a hitch. Just plug and play.

It’s a fantastic SUV for the price, besides that the Enclave is much more beautiful than the Acura, QX 60 and CX-9. Nice video.

Cars in general are really good these days but.....this car (Buick and the Chev Traverse) was rated one of the worst new cars to get. Read up before you buy.

Why they make it where you can't turn off start stop feature? That is so annoying.

With the ever changing technology and extreme cost and high depreciation do you think leasing is better? Or is it better to buy? Thanks

GM is really bad at packaging options, especially safety systems. Also, when the vehicle is this big, it should be rear wheel drive. Pulling that much car strains the transmission and is overall less efficient to pull rather than push. Making it rear wheel drive and using the 10 speed transmission would make the Enclave more balanced, efficient, and maybe more reliable

Alex - You like the Volvo XC60 & 90 for comparison, but I have eliminated them because of the distraction-intense climate system now only accessed on-screen AND the lack of a plush "grandpa" ride. Enclave fits the bill.

Not as good as a button, but you can install an aftermarket module to disable stop/start.

Not sure if people even notice but I do not like the side mirrors mounted on the doors. More and more car manufacturers have started doing this lately. I prefer them on the A pillars.

I was loving it, untik you said there's no button to turn off the auto stop start. I will *never* purchase a vehicle that does not have a button to turn it off. Gm just get's stupider and stupider.

Over rated, the interior sucks, seats are hard and uncomfortable, it’s like sitting on a board wrapped with leather, my F150 Ford has a better ride than this thing….

The car rides ok , but the seats are very hard and uncomfortable, we had a 2008 Buick Lucerne leather seats and they were the most comfortable we ever had, the Enclave seats don’t even compare to the old Lucerne…We never owned a chevy, always bought Buicks and Pontiacs . My Ford F150 is much more comfortable to sit in than our Enclave….

Buick usually rides very well as did the previous generation Enclave did. I sat in the Avenir version on the showroom and was as nice as our older style Acadia Denali. Just a little smaller.

In a 235/55R22 tire, the 235 is the tread width in mm. The 55 is the percentage of 235 to get your sidewall height (235 x .55 = 129.25). That gives you a 129.25mm sidewall height (~5 inches). And the 22 is your wheel diameter in inches. R means radial.

While I'm not in the market for a vehicle of this type and am not a big fan of GM products, this is hands down the best looking crossover on the market. While it looks very good in photos, it is absolutely stunning to look at in person.

      Well done, GM.

Drove the CX9 and it drives like a sports car and that is not what I want in an SUV. I want a luxury soft ride and wanted to thank Buick for that.

I always wondered why the american crossovers and minivans have separate mention and controls about tow mode and trailer sway assist/stability control. Does that mean that the Japanese and Koreans with realtime AWD don't have these features?

    • D. Porter
      D. Porter In reply to CrazyBiker

@Norm T Tow mode keeps the transmission in lower gears. It also activates sway control.

The tow mode when equipped with a towing package changes the shift points and keeps the transmission in a higher gear.
