This video is an attempt at aligning a previously leaked document with actual specifications from the official launch of the 2020 GT500. Also, if you take the baseline FP350S Mustang because the engine is almost identical, and add the HP that the 2.6 Liter Eaton produces, you will come up with this number as well. What do you guys think? Please comment down below any opinions /views on the matter. Thanks.

There is something you don't realize about auto manufacturers. They can easily make this Shelby knock out 750hp to 800hp but the reason they don't do that is they want to up it each year to get a little more HP to make you buy the next model

Based on the wieght and HP, that is if it's 720 HP the previous model is probably faster than the new one or at least about the same.

My first car was a '65 Fastback. Loved it. Miss it. I kind of like Mustangs still but there are SO many on the road, I don't like that. Nothing original. What I like better is smoking them in my Q60 RS.

Why all the fuss about the answers of Ford executives to your question on horsepower and torque ? The proper and scientific way of determining horsepower and torque is to test the new Ford Mustang Shelby to a dyno test and other engine testing equipment to determine the actual numbers.

Hey I have a known fake document that happens to have two correct points on it. Obviously the whole fake document must be right?🙄

If you don’t know and don’t have solid facts, quit wasting our time. “It might be” and you “believe this might be it” passes no legitimate media standard. If we have learned one thing about Ford recently, it is they can damn well keep a secret. 2017 Ford GT ring any bells.

For those who think street or drag strip racing is important, go and buy the Dodge. For those who want a pony sized track car this will be for you. The thought that HP and even torque matter on a track forgot Ford won Le Mans again with the 50 year ann. GT. That's what this car is about, road racing; grip, cornering, acceleration, braking all exceptionally well when compared to the Camero and Challenger. Thats what the latest Corvette has gone toward. They made a beast that's competing with Porsche, Lambos and Ferraris on a road track, Ford is going in the same direction with the Mustang. It's never been a drag car but a pony sized track car...

Everyone is focused on the hp but this car is not a one trick pony like the challenger. This is a world class track car. The reason dodge is only doing high up is because it's cheap n easy(the same reason the still have that OLD chassis) the dodge is a drag car, the mustang and Camaro are true sports cars, not comparable

Actual horsepower? Ford doesn’t even know for sure yet. Some tweaking to do before they go on sale. So basically you are a fucking moron. Nice click baiting douche.

I think the 710 is a lot lower than what the car will offer. In December, 2018. Auto Week said that the GT500 horsepower was expected to be 710 horsepower using the same "leaked" sheet used in your video. That's old news. Why would Ford wait for over a year if these numbers were correct? It may have started there, but since this is total speculation. I'm guessing it's moved North of 750 horsepower. Keep in mind the Cobra Jet uses a similar 5.2 engine. A Mustang running sub 8-second quarter-miles. Ford is still tweaking the GT500 engine. In your recent track day video. Jim Owens stated to a lady setting in the driver's seat of a GT500 that the GT500's currently being shown and driven were the only ones on the planet. The GT500s are still test mules. I'll wait for Ford's official announcement. They want this car to become their Halo car when the Ford GT ends production. A do everything Supercar. Not just a quarter mile at a time Mustang.

720hp vs 790hp is not the answer .That's like saying that 100 proof bourbon is a better bourban than 90 proof bourban . It's just a number. The winning recipe is all about how it tastes in the mouth. Too much hype about the HP numbers. If you just want straight line fastest at the push of a button then you should buy a Tesla i guess?

Did anyone ever hear of a scales or dynamometer? If you want to know how much it weighs go to a truck scales and get it weighed. If you want to know how much horsepower it pushes go to an engine shop where there's a Dyno and get it dynoed. What's the problem?
