The MG ZS is probably the strongest all-round package MG has offered in recent years, and makes for a temptingly good-value option in the increasingly packed compact SUV class. It comfortably undercuts the similarly sized Nissan Juke and offers a good deal more practicality to boot, but it isn't without flaws. While comfortable when being driven gently, the MG is out of its depth on a challenging road and doesn't shine for performance, economy or safety. It looks the part, though and a seven-year warranty should make ownership a trouble-free experience.

I do hope MG starts advertising more and start sending more of their cars here.
I don't care about the fact they're owned by Shanghai Automotive, they seem to be doing a pretty great job on making cars, compared to their earlier efforts (SH760 *cough*)
I'm looking forward to more of these.
On a side note: good christ this review video was lacking.

It's a tragic fall for MG.
It was a car brand known to chauffeur aristocrats and politicians. Now it's nothing but a cheap Chinese budget brand, like a Daewoo.

Think you've got the wrong car brand mate. MG was known for producing two seater sports car (e.g. MGA, MGB, Midget) and sportified saloons (1100, 1300, Metro, Montego, Maestro, ZR, etc). It was never known for making luxury upmarket cars.
Nearly all car brands, regardless of heritage, are producing SUVs because it seems that's what people buy.

This is not an MG. What a shame to see the brand go down like this.
A generic average SUV, that looks barely average, with an MG badge stuck on it.

Just a question, I thought MG went bankrupt but they didn't? Because I'm looking to buy a car and I really like the 2002 ZS and the 2004 and 2006 ZR but people told me not to buy them because it's incredibly hard to find parts because MG went bankrupt.

Just a rebadged Chinese Roewe RX3 by SAIC. And SIAC engines have been well-known for carbon build up in China. Good luck with that lol

@Jacob Price I saw an MG on display about 3 months ago and the interior plastic panel on the driver's door is popping out when you pull on the handle.

In this world where companies just buy trademarks, acquire brands, or pay a license to use a brand, it's just all about branding but the real essence of old brands are gone.
