The Honda Civic is finally back on Indian soil. The 2019 Civic gets massive changes over the previous car that was sold here and most importantly it gets a diesel engine now! The 2019 Honda Civic is also loaded with more tech and features. Honda is offering the sedan with 2 engine options - 1.8-litre i-VTEC and 1.6-litre i-DTEC. While the petrol comes only with a CVT, the diesel gets a 6-speed MT. In this video, we find out whether the new Civic is as driver-friendly as the older one.

This is not value for money car. Base price should not be kept bove 13-14 lacs for petrol version. Honda has failed to do competitive pricing and they have not understood this after loosing to rival Ciaz and Verna in past. I own honda city and was looking for Civic but after looking at the overpriced and less value for money I changed my mind.

Only petrol version has remote start because diesel engines does not use spark plugs! How does that matter? After all, I am not sending any "sparks" from my key to start the car! There are many diesel cars with remote start. They are just trying to save cost.

good you have said it, Skoda octavia, unless they bring turbo. Honda's usp of fun element off driving is choked by CVT with 15 years old 1.8 Litre.

+Shaleen D hence it is a deal breaker for me..When India got Civic, then Honda City was dolphin model with 77 bhp so for a honda city guy civic was really a big upgrade. But now Honda city is nearly 120 BHP and heavily technology oriented. So new Civic or Honda city top end model will cannibalise each other.

Exactly. The civic is very underpowered and it can be felt while driving it.The CVT worsens it even more.

I mostly see reviews from westerners. You have just spoken my mind, HONDA WHY DON'T YOU BRING TURBO. See Skoda Octavia, they have 1.4, 1.8 and 2 litre Engine. At least bring turbo in lots like Octavia VRS and sold like hot cakes in three installments. I am not going to upgrade from Honda City to this CIVIC, I need near 200 BHP and 250 NM torque. Honda City to Civic is not a true exciting upgrade unless they bring Turbo. Indian market is cheated. This is a DEAL BREAKER.
