Nice review! I own a 2016 Acura RDX Advance and love it but always love seeing reviews on the latest and greatest. Subscribed.

Great question. These were actually an upgrade - 19-in Glint Black Alloy Wheels. Aren’t they awesome? I think it’s a $2000 upgrade.

This is the first Acura I’ve driven so I can’t really compare to older models. But I didn’t notice it being loud at all. In fact, I had it running for much of the video because it was so cold outside!

Ok so would u say this one is nicer then the Mdx 2019? I’m stuck on which to buy !!!

I haven’t driven the MDX but that’s a larger vehicle with a 3rd row. This is only a 5 passenger SUV but if you don’t need the extra space of the MDX, this feels super sporty.

Jedd Jacke Ooh, I love opinion questions! If I needed a family car, I’d probably go with the Cherokee Overland. If I wanted a sporty SUV just for me but wanted room to haul a few people and things around, I’d go Acura all the way.

I just purchased my 2019 RDX with Tech package a few days ago and love it! I just can't figure out how to delete a favorite destination.

+Fadra Nally It wasn't in the manual or any of the Acura videos so I asked the customer service rep at the dealership and my salesman figured it out and called me with the answer. You have to hold the address down and another tab comes up above it asking if you'd like to delete the favorite. Very easy, thanks for your concern.

I tried doing a quick Google and it looks like there’s a lot of old information out there. I hate to sound old school but did the nav system come with a manual? Might have it in there.

I own the 2008 RDX and a (F25)BMW X3. I can’t stand that they used both aluminum and wood in the same vehicle ( RDX advance). My RDX has silvers and grey, and my X3 has wood. I prefer the silvers/metal for the sporty feel. Although I don’t like the wood as much in the X3, I prefer it more than the metal due to the larger console and sun reflection. The RDX advance is weird with the black and taupe interior with aluminum and wood and black buttons. It’s a hodgepodge, in my opinion.

    • Fadra Nally
Fadra Nally In reply to C is for Chris

Ah, I see your point. I actually like the wood. I find in sportier vehicles they always tend to do aluminum and shiny black or something similar to carbon fiber.

I don't think it supports Android Auto yet. You might want to correct that here - https://youtu.be/KOjII6vWbXI?t=452

Hey - thank you SO MUCH for that comment. As you can tell from the video, I'm clearly an iPhone user so I made the assumption that it had Apple CarPlay AND Android Auto. As you mentioned, it's not quite available yet. Apparently, Android has never played nicely with a touchscreen so the the True Touch screen. Once it is available, it will be a software update for users.

"Regarding Android Auto, there's actually no specification for Android that works with a touchpad," said Acura RDX Engineering Development Leader Stephen Frey at a media event last week. "[Google is] currently developing that right now and, when it's ready, it will be available to be applied onto vehicles on the market."

I have an 2014 rdx, very nice car, comfortable to drive. I am a fan of technology, however, all the tech in a car is nice but when it fails, very costly to repair. I wish acura had more horsepower in their cars like infinity does. I find acura suv's are much smaller then other suv's on the road.

Those don't look like the stock Advance Trim rims. They look like the A-Spec rims. Did the dealer switch them out for you? I was told they aren't able to do that.

With the exception of the interior color (I chose Espresso which is a dark brown), I purchased the same identical Advanced trim in mid-August and added the optional glint black wheels, so from the outside my RDX looks exactly like the one in this video. With a retail price of $2K, the wheels aren’t cheap, but they can be purchased from an Acura dealer on eBay for $1600. I found the review to be spot on, but when speaking about the price the lovely reviewer should have noted that the starting price of the RDX is $37K and change. Even the base model comes loaded with features that are optional on some of the competition, and the RDX’s acceleration is the same regardless of the model or trim. Coming from a 2001 MDX and a 2006 MDX, this 2019 RDX is by far the best Acura yet.

The black rims are an option. Use the “Build” feature on Acura’s website to see the different wheels.

This car was supplied to me from the manufacturer. They provide me a spec sheet but, UGH, I lost it! I did do a written review of the car where I spec it out a bit more if you want to read it here (https://allthingsfadra.com/2019-acura-rdx-review/ ) but I believe these are the 19-in Glint Black Alloy Wheels

I just purchased this car in the A Spec trim with the tech package. I love this car. Sporty and luxury and I also test drive the BMW X3, Audi Q5, Volvo XC60 and I felt the Acura was a better overall car for me.
