Speaking of Kia being the wrong car to compare an Acura to, I looked at Lexuses in 2011 (when I bought my 08 TL) and the center console controls looked like they were designed for babies/fat fingered people/the nearly blind. Gigantic round buttons! How could a luxury brand make the inside look so cheap? The styling of all the controls in the Acura is on point: right-sized buttons, conveniently located, that look good

I'm considering this car but how is the gas milage? I keep reading of people avg 15mpg which is absolutely a deal breaker for me. if I can avg 25mpg I'll slightly more comfortable. what do you think of the tl vs like a 14 mkz 2.0lt

DaOldSchoolRapLova96 yeah they are in the mid 20k on cargurus.com they depreciate badly. But I suspect it will bottom out on the high teens.

sleepybird09 A 25k 15 C300?? U sure about that? Does it check in nicely in terms of maintenance? They're nice cares forsure though! I say go with that over an Acura any day if it doesn't haven't any problems.

DaOldSchoolRapLova96 I'm actually leaning more towards a 2015 Mercedes c300 rwd. gets 36mpg with 240hp. turbo 4. Going for about 25k but I'm hoping by next year it will be in the teens.

sleepybird09 I would like both but a more "premium" car comes with more "premium" price. That's just how it is in ways. I would sacrifice an extra 10-20 a week for an extra 100+ horsepower in my car easily

DaOldSchoolRapLova96 I don't think it's 10 years old. and gas matters. I mean I'm not going to be racing it everyday. if they had put the 4cyl hybrid of the insight in this it would of been perfect for me. and compared to other cars in its class it's really not that good. despite all that I am still considering this car. keep going back and forth. doing research trying to see what I can do to up the mpg on this. would gladly trade horsepower for mpg.

I've owned 7 Acuras and numerous Hondas.  My first Acura was an '87 Integra.  From there I've owned an '05 TL, an '07 TL Navi, a '10 TSX Tech V6, a '12 TL Advance, another '12 TL Advance and currently have a '13 TL Advance.  Love Acuras.

I put a lot of miles on a car each year and I only buy used vehicles.  I try to find extremely low mileage cars that are in great shape and are fairly priced.  I sell them before they hit 50K miles to avoid losing so much in depreciation.  It's been a great system for me.  Keeps me in late model, low mileage cars with warranties.  I never have to buy tires and my maintenance expenses are kept low.  I bought the '13 TL that I currently have in December of 2016.  It was a certified pre-owned so that gave me extended warranty.  It only had 5,000 miles on it.  I'll keep it a year and half or so and move on to the next car.  This will be my last TL though.  Not sure what I'll get next.  It will likely be a TLX V6 or a '16 Accord Touring.

ray britton kias are still terrible. You can expect a little over 100k out of them and then they die. Not worth the money and have no resale value. 2015 kias don't have 50% of their value in 2016. Not worth the money and not worth the purchase. Also known as disposable vehicles

    • I bought an 2007 Acura TL with the tech package a couple of weeks ago. It has 158k on it but it is has been babied. I bought it from a gentleman on the north side of town that had just upgraded to a 2017 Lexus. He was the first and only owner and garaged it nonstop, the wheels are excellent and with almost no curb rash. The paint is dark blue and it really has been taken care of. I still don't believe I paid 6 grand for this car. I have to agree with you this car is made really well. After driving it a couple of weeks it is one hell of a car. I am going to budget to get brand new custom leather for the seats. I will make you a vid so you can check it out after.

I've had three 3rd gen TL's. I love them. But they do have issues. They have a dash crack issue because the material they used has a defect. It will happen eventually no matter what, at any mileage or age. Just happens. The transmissions are typical Honda -- not good. They're known to go out. Other than that, can't complain. I loved all three of mine. I had an 04, then an 07 Type-S and 08 Type-S. They were daily drivers. My dash cracked in my most recent one and I got tired of looking at it, since Acura won't do anything for customers to repair them -- so I traded it for a 2016 Accord Touring.

Ah, I see. You're doing quite well for yourself! An F10 M5 is a killer, and it's obviously not meant for daily use, so I guess the Camry makes sense in that situation. Good luck mate!

      B S In reply to B S

Neoking I said they're daily drivers. I have a 2013 Audi S4 for fun. I prefer it over the 335 all day. It's just an all around better car and has better reliability. I love BMW, don't get me wrong, just prefer the S4 vs the 335i. But an F10 M5 is what I'm looking to trade the S4 for. The Accord (soon to be XSE Camry) is just for daily use.

Caleb, why would you go for such a boring car after owning a TL? Buy a used BMW (3 series are the most fun to drive) - cheaper initial cost than the Camry and it'll put a smile on your face every time you get in it. You'll forget you drive a "new Camry" after a couple weeks of owning it - it's just that boring.

Andy Jacobs Yeah I know it's coming, but spy shots don't look too promising. It's going to have the fast-back hatch look that's on the Civic, which I cannot stand. I think the Civic is awful looking myself. I'm not a fan of the fast-back look on cars. It's supposed to basically be a blown up Civic. Just not for me. It's also been said that Honda is dropping the V6 and the coupe for the 10th gen. No V6 will keep me away for sure. But I honestly think the 10th gen will be awful. It should be shown around the time the Camry hits dealerships. Hopefully sooner. I just don't have much faith in Honda for the new Accord. I don't like the Civic, Ridgeline, Pilot or the Odyssey. The new CR-V isn't too bad. Just me though. Guess we'll see.

What I hate about my 2006? The leather seats have not worn well. Cracks galore. That's it. Some say that it's underpowered, but I think it's more than enough for my 25 mph enforced speed limit.
