It has three rows of seating, a stunning interior, standard all-wheel drive and is manufactured in America. Oh, and it’s a BMW. The X7 is the largest vehicle BMW makes. It’s ready to haul your clan, as long as you have $75,000 for a base xDrive 40i model. Tom Voelk drove in the lap of luxury from Phoenix, Arizona to Las Vegas, Nevada with Top Gear Magazine writer Paul Horrell. And they talk politics! But first they have to find the key…

BMW paid for transportation and lodging. Running footage was provided by BMW because, as you will see, I ran out of time.

About Tom:
Tom Voelk is an award-winning automotive contributor to The New York Times. His podcast was the first to win an Emmy Award. He also married way out of his league. Now, stop reading this promotional copy bragging about Tom's photography and editing skills and watch a couple episodes. It's much more interesting.

BMW can make the X7 in two versions with a seven (7) passengers and a five (5) passengers model, not everyone's will accepted a seven passengers vehicles so narrow and cramped ,I personal will accepted a five passengers versions in the X 7 ,just as the X5 has vast trunk space ,how BMW will accepted this option or opinion,.

The real reason for the 6 cyl being the best choice?? Engineering. Physics Hath No Myth!!! The No#1 smoothest engine layout is an in-line 6. The best size for a pistons swept volume is 500cc. 3.0l in-line 6 is the perfect engine. German scientists wearing lab coats decreed it so. I will not argue.

The smoothest possible layout would come from a small V12 with lightweight rotating assembly.

Call me crazy...but i think the Kia Telluride is a better looking vehicle. The Kia would probably be more reliable over the long term too
