Still love my 2018 GT2.. :D Best winter car I've ever had up here in northern Sweden. Unlike the BMW's, Mercedes and Audi's, it actually starts at -30 celsius no issues. It powers through snow, eats it up and spits it out back.. Love it. AWD 2018 GT2.

Direct rivals to this car in UK are S5/440/435 BMW/VW Arteon. try speccing one of those to the stinger base standards and compare price. The reviewer shouldnt highlight brand but the pros and cons of the car, feel like many car reviewers are like Apple fans, even though someone brings out a comparable product they diss it because it is not Apple.

If I can save 20k for the guts of a 400bhp car, loaded with standard equipment, that drives well and has a good dealer network, then I must be daft eh?

Why are Americas paying 50k for this car? They are high 50k in AUD. You guys are getting ripped!

I just bought a 2019 Sonata Limited 2.0T. If I would of known how much you have to baby a turbo to take care of it I would of never had bought one. Drive slowly to warm it up, let it cool before shutting it off. Don't rely on the turbo to over take a vehicle rather drop down a gear. use a good synthetic oil. So much BS just give me my normal engine back.

I just bought a GT1 49.5K msrp. I got 4K in kia discounts (finance/competitive cash) and 5K in dealer discount. When you factor in discounts you'll be in the low 40's for a car that is just awesome the instant power of the twin turbo V6 is so sweet. I hated my GTI but this car I love love love. This car was originally out of my price range till I found out about the discounts.

BTW mine is a 2019 no issue with any squeaks or rattles. If you go GT1 it has a normal shifter not the electronic bullshit and you can bang the shift lever to the side and then it's in manual mode permanently

My lord you are most whining car reviewer I’ve ever seen! I won’t even point out how many points you are wrong about. Wondering what the hell type of car you actually like?

James Bell no because even car people speak badly about “other” car people basing everything just on brand... he did the same. Doesn’t seem he even ever released the RWD video. I guess Kias don’t make enough YouTube traffic for that.

Enjoyed the video...especially the underbody section.  And agree with your analysis that this car is perfect for the vast majority of day to day performance drivers - enough of an edge without beating up your wallet.

Totally agree with you about sedan vs hatch. I’ve always had hatches or SUVs. I don’t understand sedans....never owned one. I’m having trouble deciding between this or the G70 but I think the hatch and the cheaper price of the Stinger win it for me.

You’re very wrong about the Label. Kia are lifting their game with every new release. Pretty soon people will be proud to have a car with a Kia badge on it. For the price, quality, performance and reliability you can’t beat it. You’re a bit whiny about the Kia. What’s not to like?

BUYER AWARE: Owned Kia Stinger for 1year 13k miles, has 3 different rattles, potential welding faults, and Kia refuse to acknowledge or fix the issue. Other issues including shaky HUD, failed engine spark plugs are also WIDE SPREAD. Don't waste your money on a $52000 unreliable car backed by non-existent customer support brand.

The reviewer is kind of biased. What Audi/BMW/MB/Lexus etc will get you a 365hp v6 with twin turbo for only 50k? (actually at 46K in GT line). All the equipment he mentioned is EXTRA in any german can but the tip line which is over 80k to start with. Compare apples to apples.Never mind the longer warranty and better service than any other carmaker.

First - I like the Stinger. However, I will never buy one. I pulled up behind one today at a red light in Sydney, Australia and it took about 90 seconds before I noticed it. Silver colour. I thought it was regular plain Jane sedan. Good review. Thanks. A big fan of your channel.

Sport mode will keep you in manual control at stops (still auto downshifts though. Sport mode itself doesn't stay selected after you turn it off though.
