have u try'd microphones to isolate it? my nokia smartphone has 360 audio which allows to focus on certain sounds, or run the video through audio software to isolate it. Either way it didn't bother me, I am not a car guy and looking for a truck and sure am glad to see this video. Denali looks real classy, but I could not get pass the pedals. I mean seriously....100 years of cars and you make that kind of mistake....

Good video, as a bigger guy I’ve always preferred Ford. Much roomier, bigger and more comfortable seats too. Out of curiosity I’m tempted to try something new, split between the Ram 1500 sport and the Sierra AT4, both are awesome looking trucks.
Would love a comparison of the AT4 and Ran 1500 sport. Leaning towards the Ram, very roomy and love the new exterior and interior designs.

This isn't a true test. No off roading, pulling or even burnouts. Most truck owners work or play out out of them. I can put golf clubs in my girls Honda civic... I can pull my atvs, rocks, firewood and get to the farm in the snow, rain or mud in luxury comfort in my gmc. Maybe Ford is better. Either way these dudes should be in smart cars

Thanks for your comment. These are luxury pick ups and , although capable of off road use and certainly pulling ( we use our Denalis to pull enclosed car trailers pretty regularly) burnouts seems a little out of character for the standard buyer. That being said... we are just guys who own trucks and try to give our honest opinion of their worthiness based on normal expectations for the trucks. We certainly aren't Motor Trend and we don't have a Motor Trend budget. We all have full time jobs and families and we shoot these videos in those spare moments that we can find. If you want the opinion of average guys... that's us. If you want to see off roading and burn outs... that would be someone else.
Now... if we get our hands on a Raptor... we are going to have to find some mud.

Come from Ford loyal family. Own first GMC Sierra 2018 SLT 5.3 The GMC has no delay in acceleration. Need sport mode on 5.0 Ford or the ecoboost engine to get the same feel. I don't like the middle floor hump on GMC backseat. The GMC mpg average is off by 2 miles and ford is almost right on. I am curious to see how long it will last and the maintenance cost.

Just purchased my first GMC after 3 Ford F-150 in a row.. I really like GMC i think it an amazing truck with a very comfortable ride, extremely quiet cab and great looks, but I do miss the keyless entry on the ignition, and my son hates riding in the back since the GMC is a lot smaller. (leg room) So 3 years from today I may be going back to Ford unless GMC makes a few adjustments.

      F-150 Boys

People can say what they want to about Ford and its technology but a lot of the vehicles are coming out with the same technology only making it better. The new Ram is the best example of this. For me I could never purchase those vehicles no offense. Because Ford was the only company that did not take the bail out money back in 2008-2010. Instead they chose to cut production cost. So of course on that Chevy commercial they would take advantage of the cheaper parts that were used in the bed of the F-150. All of the ones that have not been bought out by Fiat should probably have some of that bail out money left over and they can afford to make all of these extra upgrades. You have to have faith in your company and your product. That means a lot to me and I am sticking with Ford for life. The other vehicles are nice and all but they are not a Ford.

You start by saying some people like the GM interior and feel and others don't know what they want...Your an IDIOT at best. The Ford has...more Power, better trans 10 speed, even the V8 is better, more room in the FORD, better fit and finish "ou lie about the Ford interior" , Rear step bumper Vs Ford ladder tail gate , Way more room in the Ford, rear venting for heat and cooling, adjustable pedals "You knew nothing about...way more options for just a few grand more...options you cant get on GM or Chevy!!!! Your not good at what you do!!!

Full Octane Garage glad to help! I’m a proud new owner of a Sierra SLT. Love the truck. I do agree, the back seat passengers should have access to climate control. For a truck this expensive it should def be included! Although the ones under the seat work pretty darn good. Enjoy your videos!

Ok, John... you just made me get up from my desk and go check this out in the rain and...... you are correct. A/C will come out the bottom vents in the back. Not exactly the best application for delivering A/C to the back especially because that means the a/c is blowing out the floor in the front also. Separate controls would certainly be an improvement. But, technically speaking... you are correct. Thanks for the input!

How do you figure that? The 2018’s have a 2.5 out of 5 rating for reliability compared to 4,5 fir the Chevy and 4 for the Ford.

    • will folmar
      will folmar

Yes the Ford has more equipment and bells and whistle options in which I do like better and wish I had them on my 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, but every single Ford owner I know has had problems with them. My uncles F350 Platinum caught fire and burned up after 4 days at the Ford dealership and my neighbors F150 has all the lights flash and going crazy in it and the dealership can't figure out what's wrong with it. That's why I went with the Chevrolet because I wanted something that would actually last with a lot less problems if any. Ford is only a good option if you plan on trading it in after 2 years to get a new one. Also there is an option for storage underneath the back seats since I bought it and has a lot more storage than the Ford. Ford did a good job with the interior, but I'll spend more time driving mine Silverado since it wint be in the shop as much or at all.
