Can you take 3.5mm male plug from 2nd gen iPod and plug into the USB in 2017 Escape and have music play? And if so what type adapter can purchase to make that work? Everything seen is charging cord or plug-in to laptop. Thanks

      Total dumpster fire.
Synch: "Say phone settings or voice settings."
      Me: "Phone settings"
      Synch: "Voice Settings"

Synch: "Say Line in, User device, Phone," etc
      Me: "User Device"
      Synch: "USB"

My phone connects to the car. Sometimes it will connect to my phone Bluetooth media. Most of the time it says SYNC LINE IN. I don't know how to get the media/audio to connect.

Oh im sorry, but i was wrong, is not the sound button but the menu button, first press the aux button so that the car knows that you are changing media settings, then press menu and then navigate with the keys until you see the source option.

+Hellsing Oh. I think i still have my manual. But I could never find something for it. I would see somewhere that you press and hold the AUX button and it may switch to Bluetooth Media, but nope. So I will try the sound button. But I think that turns the radio off hmm

      FYI
If for some reason you have a blue tooth earpiece in your ear when you receive a call in the vehicle when it rings and you answer it from sync you can click your earpiece once and your conversation will go into privacy mode. Now you can talk and hear your caller on you earpiece in private.

Great video was a big help. I have a 2014 Ford Escape Se. From what I understand Ford sync has 10,000 voice commands. I have a lot to learn. Could you tell me what registering for sync does beside provide a vehicle report?
