i have several Intermountain ES440s' superb detail superb shalle great livery paint butt eh motors are disappointingly under powered and only start 50 power rather reminiscent of the old anthearn motors... id had to re- power ALL of them...

I hate to be the "Debbie Downer" but neither of these locomotives started out smooth. I wish KATO would go the extra mile and add some realism to their locomotives. Athearn looks better. Sound...I didn't even concentrate on the sound. I was too busy thinking to myself, "Is the track dirty?" Can I get an Amen. I think all I'm going to get is FU's.

Pretty cool what u did here . but i bet if u took one of the older genesis motors which the engines are significantly lighter, the Intermountain would definitely pull the athearn . but in that being said, if athearn keeps the weight on all their new stuff they have hit a home run. Great tug tho. I really enjoyed

the suspense of leaving the shed and the coupling..
