Vehicles filmed at Dealerships are For Sale. Make sure to visit the dealerships website for detail info about each vehicle. If your watching a video thats older than 90 days you can expect that vehicle to most likely already being sold, unless its a new car.

FYI - Charleston Car Videos on YouTube Started in 2011. Back in 2008 is when I started filming cars as a car salesman to give people a better way to see a new or used vehicle. Over the years I ended up selling over 450 vehicles from doing videos. Today 1000's of vehicles have sold from people using my car videos to sell cars at dealerships all over the South East Region.

I'm Chad Dolbier the creator of CCV. After High School I was unsure of what to do for a career as many young adults are. Instead of going to college I decided to start working in the car business in 2000. My first car job was at Acura of Charleston being a car detailer/washer. In 2003 our Acura store started to clear land next door and built Audi of Charleston. After a few years passing and still detailing Acura's & Audi's in 2005 I was asked to be a car salesman. In 2006 I started the Internet Department for Acura & Audi. Then in 2008 is when the car videos all started up! 2010 is when I left Acura & Audi and started my own car dealership video business. So far today I've built YouTube channel for over 18 car brands & dealerships. So enjoy my channel and hopefully you can learn something new! As always I enjoy learning from you as well so make sure to send me your feedback!

Traverse is quicker, stops faster, better MPG, more horsepower, and more cargo area. Same towing capacity and torque. Passanger area (headroom, hip room, leg room) is mixed. VW has much better warranty. I think the Traverse looks a lot better, inside and out, especially the body lines that run from front to back, very similar to the Tahoe and Yukon. Atlas looks out-dated already, IMO. And the Traverse rides really nice. I went with a 2019 Traverse and bought extended warranty for peace of mind.

Atlas has a way better warranty. More room and is cheaper at the dealerships I checked. I have a 2016 traverse I’m going to trade for an atlas because of the front end rattles dealer says is normal and stink from the vents that dealer cannot remove “mildew smell”

Both are great SUVs lots of room and practicality of use in both. Atlas has a wider and taller rear door openings plus opens I believe at a wider angle if I'm not mistaken. I've driven both recently and not just as a test drive at a dealership but actually driven both of them extensively with my wife and 3 kids in them. And at the end of the day for me the Traverse just slightly beats the Atlas and only because I like the driving feel of the Traverse plus it's exhaust sound, definitely can feel that power thrust in the Traverse then I could in the Atlas. Although I will say the Atlas is just slightly more practical for a family with 3 small kids like mine. But if we're just talking driving satisfaction I'd take the Traverse. I hope my brother doesn't see this, he's a VW Sales Manager 😁

I've driven both Atlas and Traverse. I like the Atlas way better. The third row is way more comfortable to sit in. You get a lot more for your money with the Atlas. I can clear about a 5in curb in the Atlas. Driving through muddy grass Atlas gives no issues. I do have the 4 motion on my Atlas which makes it awd.

The Traverse seems really nice; too bad standard safety features on the $31k Toyota Highlander will cost you nearly $53k on the Chevrolet Traverse!!! WTF GM!!! SAFETY SHOULD NOT BE OPTIONAL!!!

2018 Traverse has all that and more. 7usb ports for everyone, integrated WIFI hotspot, I love the secret safe behind the nav, You can hid your camera there, even charge it with usb or just hide your wallet or anything valuable. Both cars are similar but I find Traverse can hold a bit more, is more comfortable to drive, has more power, and I like the look.

I like both cars but feel like I’m leaning slightly towards the Traverse, 1. Because I test drove one and really liked it and 2. I’m unsure of VW’s tainted reputation, I had a MkV GTI which had so many problems after a few years it left a bad taste in my mouth, and the whole emissions thing that VW went through also stops me from going back in, what’s your thoughts after driving it for a while? I might head to the dealership and check it out?

Thank you for the video, I appreciate the details. I am undecided between an Atlas vs the Traverse so it's good to see them side by side. The Traverse is amazing, but VW has a better warranty and incentives for purchasing vs Chevy, thus it's been a challenging decision. :)

CharlestonCarVideos In reply to Janet Ortiz

Hi Janet, yes I can see how this decision is a hard one. Both of these vehicles are really nice and come with great options. I think why my Wife likes the ATLAS & Tiguan so much is because its not what every other Mom is driving when we pull up at the school to pick up the kids lol. Yes the VW has the best factory warranty right now that i've seen. I think you should go by the dealerships and test drive both. That will help you make a better decision. If you lived in Charleston I'd say we meet up and get the VW Atlas and drive over to Chevy and let you compare for yourself. Also you can do that where you live. Just get the dealership your working with to let you do a extended test drive for the day. don't tell them what your doing tho lol. If you did that while the salesman was with you that would be vary uncomfortable for the salesman and you ha ha. Let me know if theres anything I can do to help with you decision. If theres a video I can make for you just let me know. I'm here to help my subscribers. thanks, Chad

Congrats Carlos! Glad to see your happy with your new Atlas. It truly is an amazing vehicle and I love how its so much different than all the other cars on the road. The Moms in my kids school parking lot every morning are crowded up around there Tahoe's, Expeditions, Explorers and Suburbans. Last week I pulled right into the parking spot next to all those Mommies and got out like a cool dad with my kids riding in the Atlas. Man it felt great when those ladies where just staring at the beautiful LED headlights and its sexy boxy body. Have a great night. Please stop back by the channel again and watch some of my ATLAS videos. I'm going to try and get a shot of those Moms one morning soon lol haha.

Love the wheel on both cars, beautiful cars, great review! I would say though, the traverse has too much going on in the interior. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but may seem complicated to a new driver. But a great car! But simplicity and quality is my thing. The traverse has the quality I wish the VW had all round. But still love the VW cause I’m a German engineering fan! Nonetheless the traverse is a great car.

Hey Nice comparison, I do own a 2018 Traverse High Country, so I would say I love my Traverse. I don't know much about the package options on the LT or Primer trim packages. But I do love the new Traverse look, and it's one great car/suv.. The reason I say car even though it is a SUV, is because it drives like a car and not a truck...

this is not a good comparison between the two vehicles. I can tell you the traverse is the better vehicle . You like the Atlas better but the Atlas does not have more room than the Traverse, that's why you did not put the third row up on the Atlas. The Atlas looks outdated the front end looks old and those lights might be LEDs but they look old. Why don't you show us the Traverse with the new LEDS that are way better than the Atlas granny LEDS.

    • Cynthia Nations
Cynthia Nations In reply to Phillip Alv

Atlas has more room inside for people riding. No use in having a third row of it's hard to sit in. Overall more leg room for passengers in the Atlas. I know the Atlas is supper car seat friendly. Unless Chevy changed the Traverse it isn't car seat friendly.

Atlas has a neutral classic design. Traverse is like an experimental frankenstein built from different platforms, parts and vehicles - no harmony and continuity in the form. QX60 in my opinion looks much better than both.

Hey Phillip, I'll see what I can do about comparing the ATLAS vs a more loaded up Traverse. I've filmed the high trim level Traverse last month and I do agree with you that it is a amazing car and I'm glad Chevy stepped it up for 2018 and with the new Equinox. Me personally I don't think the Atlas looks like a granny car lol. its head lights are just more of a simple design, but matches well with the shape of the car of course.

I'll see what I can do for you Mike. My only issue is availability of some vehicles like the Traverse Redline edition or High Country. The Chevy store I work with does not always get the super fully loaded up models all the time, but at some point I'm sure we'll get one. I just finished a full week of filming with the Atlas SE/tech, but next week I plan to start reviewing the SEL Premium Atlas and finding some higher level trim model cars to compare it with. Glad to see your enjoying the vids and I'll keep them coming! unless I just get banned in my town for filming everyone's cars lol.
