Ten years ago Jaguar launched the XF to replace the dated S Type. It was a brave move at the time. A decade later you can now pick up early ones for only £4,000! Should you actually buy one though?

I'm very happy with my 3.0 V6 Petrol and price of unleaded offsets the mpg advantage of diesel and it just sounds better and seems to pull better than my previous 3.0D. Great car and more soul than Beamer

Although I could stretch to ~ £10k, I'd prefer to be around the £5-6k mark - has anybody got this car around 80,000 - 90,000 miles (2010 ish) and can confirm any common issues they've experienced? Most cars I've owned usually need a plethora of attention around the 80,000 - 100,000 mile point, things like clutches/flywheels/batteries/injectors etc etc etc. How does the XF fare for this? Thanks in advance!

1.30 per liter is nothing, here in Croatia average monthly paycheck is 4-5000 kn and 1 liter of petrol or diesel is 10.50 kn !!!!!!! Just imagine if you head those prices in UK, 4000 pounds paycheck for month and 1 liter cost more then 10 pounds !!!!!!!

+High Peak Autos any car that consumes more then 6 liter per 100 km is considered to be luxurious :), total low standard joke, 60% of cars are diesels, 35% are gasoline but 1.2 or 1.4 liter engines and 5% are rich people toys. And i forgot to mention that 70% of those gasoline cars are converted to natural gas because natural gas is half a price of gasoline !!!!!!! When the new XF came out, it was the modern interpretation of what a modern British luxury car should be. Jaguar tossed out the frumpy and ghastly old-world design and created a sexy sedan for the new era.

kevin taylor Hey Kev there is a dealer that has always had top reviews every car he has is just pristine. He only picks the cleanest best. SO i was looking at some beamers he had there and then I saw this car that looked like a Maserati or a small Bentley said what is that???? It was black wicked aggressive hood. Found out is was a 2013 XX 3.0 black chrome grill just flawless. Did some reading its Just a beast over 350hp v6 supercharged I said hoooolly shit it made the 535i look like shit. The guys asking 18,4500 us. it has 65k on it which was nice. I just dont know much about these cars. Will this car in general last? Given I’d finance prob 60 percent of it. Is that price worth it and is there anything you can tell me about ur recent buy. Do u love it, is it as fast as it sounds. Is the ride nice tight smooth? Any help cuz I’m planning on going to talk numbers after test drive.thank you. Few mods I can tell this thing would look sick. Does it have back up cam? Any info dude I’d appreciate. Car looked stunning in person.Swore I’d never buy black but its jus so sexy. Dark charcoal black interior thanks.

Get a series I or II XJ-6 and you’ll know what a real Jaguar is like. Beautiful, Quiet, powerful, sensuous ride. Also prone to break down, leak, or burn wiring. You get the good with the bad with a real Jag and you’re happy to have it that way. I think you’re probably a bit of a prat.

The XF is a superb car (I own one), but you're being optimistic about the used values. I'd be lucky to get 8K for mine (2010 Portfolio S with 57K miles). Prices of euro 5 diesels have dropped a lot, especially in London and the south east, mostly because of ULEZ and dieselgate.

Originally had 2 X-Types. Replaced the one in 2016, with a 2015 XF Luxury Portfolio (V6 Supercharged) in metallic British Racing Green. Absolutely LOVE this car! Got a great deal from the dealership, as it was their service loaner with low km's and no need to say how it was maintained. A pleasure to drive and handles like a dream. Heated windscreen is great to have, as we get some cold winters here in British Columbia. Loved this car so much, we replaced the other X-Type last year with a second XF (albeit a 2013) Luxury (V6 Supercharged with a sport package) in Carnelian Metallic Red, one owner, bought from our dealership and maintained there as well, with low km's. Too good a deal to pass up! So far, zero issues with either. Love how you can go from one car to the other and know exactly how it's going to drive. Would recommend this car to anyone!

The reason I love jags, is that NO ONE makes car interiors as beautiful, as comfortable, as special as the Brits. It's just a joy to spend any amount of time in. Even the chimes that come on when your door is ajar is pleasant. Much love from Texas

I am with you 100%! I absolutely love this car! When I was very young I saw something spectacular about the Jaguar... maybe I liked the cool jaguar on the hood, but at car shows with my dad something about the Jaguars stuck out to me and I have always wanted one. Since 2016 my password for everything has been Jaguar2016, 2017, 2018 and now Jaguar2019.... so cool my dream of having a Jag came true. Everything that you said about this car is right and it is good to know the comparisons with bmw series and Mercedes. I couldn't stop smiling on the way home from the dealership...going fast... Silver Jaguar 2010 XF 3.0 liter... soooo nice! I just need to get the windows tinted and the leather on the dash board has come loose a bit so need to figure out what to do there but I love it! I am so happy for your good review... I was a bit nervous to watch... I've heard some negativity about Jaguar In general from people 🙂 but I went for my dream of having a Jaguar and so happy with the XF 3.0! Thank you for posting!

This is the WORST vehicle I’ve EVER owned in my 30 years of living. My vehicle has than 50k miles on it and I’ve had to replace everything with the exception of the body yet it still accessorizes my driveway! My Jag of course is a 2011 XF that runs when it wants...I clicked on the post because ironically enough my vehicle looks EXACTLY like the one that he’s test driving—a BEAUTY! What a shiny piece of SHIT! I should’ve purchased a BENZ! They last a lifetime!
