      For all the stupid comments here ... this is a 35k euro hot-hatch with 5-years warranty (Race-chip aside). Stop comparing it with GTI Stage1,2 or whatever you may have or 5-year old Evo's which (if low mileage) still cost 2/3 if this car. Hyundai even offers warranty for track days. This is a first, teaser car, the engine has not been peak tuned. Fastback is coming out, options for AWD are also on the table. They already hinted on something more aggressive with option N concept with carbon use for shaving weight off. Slap on a bigger turbo, intercooler and downpipes in the next iteration ... you have a 300-350hp beast that can take head on RS, Golf R etc. And it will still cost less ... stock!

      It’s never 524nm. I have Skoda Octavia vRS with tuning by ABT and 315HP 450nm. It’s clearly faster than the Hyundai. This car has 300HP and 450nm at maximum. It’s normal for Racechip. Device the specified performance with two and you have the realistic performance.

      The high intake air temps are from the turbo working at the limit of it's effiency range. A larger turbo would cool the intake air temp, but have slower spool up times.

      Mk7 GTI with stage 1 kills this. This is not even close to 300hp. It needs 16,5-17 sec from 100-200. Slow for 320hp.

      Theta 2 has almost nothing with Evo X engine. Only similarities between 4B11T from Evo X and Theta 2 both has 86x86mm bore/stroke and same deck height as Theta 2 but otherwise, this two engines are completely different. Theta used open deck block which is shit for high boost applications, Mitsubishi used semi closed with larger coolant and oil passages. Cylinder heads are completely diferent, and stock internals as well. You can only interchange internals from 4B11 on Theta 2. I didn't saw any tuned i30N with 400hp, but there is a lot GTI's Mk7 with way more than 400HP, up to 400Hp with stock is38 turbocharger from R, or some bigger options like TTE450, TTE525...
      i30N Performance is good "out of the box", but not so good as tunning option.

      Weight is a problem... But i belive with a right tuned... Better clutch intercooler and turbo... Can make more 400hp... I30N use almost the saime engine than evo X... Now think!

      Hyundai sounds way better, likely way more fun, better reliability statistics, longer warranty. It's not 2006 anymore, Hyundai is making too quality cars that are among the best made and most reliable on the market.
