In my last video, we discussed speculation about the possibility of an upcoming Mustang Boss 429, featuring Ford's new 7.3L Godzilla engine. Today we will discuss some news regarding a new leaked patent that reveals Ford's upcoming Hybrid electric mustang. At the same time Dodge is announcing an electric challenger.

What do you think about electric muscle cars. Should we embrace this as the future, or are you disappointed by this news. Let me know in the comments below.

They should make a 600-700 hp electric version to blow demon out of the water, 0-60 below 2.5 secs? Easy.

100% YES ! Ford is committed to Electric vehicles. Ford could not possibly release a Hybrid Mustang that would under performed against gas. Whether Piston heads like it or not, the electric motor has always been more efficient than gas. The batteries have caught up to now make it particle. FYI The fastest mustang ever built was the Zombie 222, a 1968 Ford Mustang fastback that's been converted to all electric. 1,000 horse power, 1,800 pound feet of torque, 0 to 60 in 1.79 seconds.

It's all been done before, McClaren , Porsche and ferrari Made what is known as the hyper 3 cars in 2013, real fast but still by todays standards old tech, and that patent is based on that tech

Idk about faster, but overall milage would be greatly incrrased if engine drive could be shifted/alternated between electric and gas drive. And some solar power incorperation would be ideal.

I'd like idea of hybrid mustang, as long as it only powers the rear wheels. Mustang should never be AWD.

I am hear to tell Ford it’s not about speed it’s about rang. If you can build a car that gives me unbelievable range with family friendly power it will make everyone very happy 😊. Remember we want to live long enough to enjoy are families but not die rapped around a tree 🌲 just so you can beat Tesla at killing us. You guys are so morally stupid.

A hybrid drive is obvious. There’s a reason Ferrari and others are already adding electric motors to their vehicles.

An all electric mustang would be amazing. That is the best of all worlds. Who needs the maintenance and expense of a gas powered mustang all for loud noise and the sensation of shifting. Guess what? While an antiquated transmission is shifting an ev is accelerating away from you. Internal combustion engines are going the way of the dinosaur. The money you waste on gas and maintenance can instead go to other areas like paying the car off faster. Plus no pollution. Seems like a win. Why saddle electric motors with an engine and transmission to drag around, reducing range and efficiency.

A hybrid only peeks into the future. All electric has no fuel to be wasted. Why do car companies insist on this limp along mode? Is it fear of range anxiety? Oh no i am out of power,,,easily can say i am out of gas. Seriously responsible people do not run out of gas/charge. Also fords jab at elon is irrelevant. Seing as Tesla motor corp has only been around 11 years and is worth as much as ford now. Imagine if TSLA had started 110 years ago. Just my opinion....and a few facts.

I would be cool with an all wheel drive mustang. As long as you could put power down to all 4 at the same time and use both the V8 and the electric motors in conjunction.

all electric is the way to go. Hybrid makes no sense at all. I drive a Volvo XC60T8 right now, great car but makes no sense at all. Once you drive an Tesla/e-Jaguar of similar you are not going back to combustion engine anymore. I loved my Dodge Viper but it is history. The sound of an V8 ist great but in 20 Years people will laugh at you driving a V8.

The gears shifting and engine sounds will come through the speakers on the car electronically on a fully electric car as an option if you want to pay a bit more but you can turn it off if you want peace.

Great plan, NOT IN A MUSTANG. They tried to use the Mustang name as a marketing ploy back around 1990? When the probe came out. That was supposed to be called the Mustang. Learn from it. Make a new car. Give it a new name. Let it create its own following. Customers will be happier when they migrate to the new platform on their own.

Ford def going to do the hybrid. Verified. Just as the next gen Camaro (if there is one) will be the same.....Ford wants 16 models to be electric and GM wants 21 models to be electric for 2021-22. Guess we should have figured on this ever since they started piping in engine noises through the speakers.....

Of course the Mustang will be faster. And there will be aftermarket upgrades. Capacitors and larger motors.
