If I'm going to buy a $80K car I don't know why people wouldn't option for the lighting package. The LED put xenon to shame on the interstate with no street lights at night.

Well, depends. I mean you can Retrofit the Adaptive LED, no Problems. But If you buy a nice F30 with the Adaptive Xenons with the "Auto Highbeam" Symbol on the Indicator lever, also good. I drove once my uncles car (420d with adaptive xenons), they put out also a hefty amount of light.
      They aren't dark.
More important is a smooth light distribution and fast reacting adaptive functions. And that's all true with Xenon and adaptive LED.

And to be honest: I have seen so strange configurations, I mean, a 535d F10, but without any option in the interior (small Navi, no Harman/Kardon, no ventilated seats, no nothing), At the Outside also Nothing (only standard xenon). Such strange configurations are very odd and I don't get it why someone say's: "No, I have spent 50 grand on that thing, not any dollar more" But some useful options only cost a few hundred dollars extra and are very useful. Some are saying: "Big engine, but with this budget". They only want to show off "Loook at meee, I have a 35d engine in my car" (but that's it then, nothing more extras).

I think the E9x series only have High beam assistance and not the selective beam.

In India this will be no different from a low beam. So many vehicles, it will be high beam always off.

How can I tell if I have adaptive xenons? I have high beam assist but never figured out how to get this to work (if I do have them).

Just move the steering wheel while standing on a dark road with headlights on. If the light-cone moves according to your steering wheel, you have adaptive lights. If it doesn't, you don't. ;)

Hi Alex, goede informatieve video.
